I've spotted Lordy Coe a couple of times recently getting his lunch in the Docklands. Not running though - Canary Wharf shopping arcade is a bit busy for that sort of behaviour.
i had jo pavey run past me at the gsr, and i managed to get her to sign my number. The odd thing was she was chatty and asked how my run went and she seem interested in my time
my bike shop gets tanni grey-thompson in quite regularly (not while i've been there yet) - she was one of my childhood heroes.
i went to the same Guides unit as Nicole Cooke (current world no.1 female cyclist) & I've been passed by her cycling a few times. The unsuspecting Brown Owl took the troop out for a cycle picnic once...
I meet a fair few famous people at work, often they are not very interesting. But, perversely, Steve "Interesting" Davis is jolly interesting, and a very nice chap.
BPTT is a plethora of famous people, if you can catch them (which is probably why they are famous). And I saw Huw Lobb at Ampthill, he had the most enormous eggy shape to the inside of your kneecap muscles (and won)
I sold Mary Decker (US athlete tripped up by Zola Budd back in the 80's) and ice cream when I was a teenager working in my local newsagents.
Norman Cook (aka Fat Boy Slim), ran passed me in opposite direction in the Brighton 10k last year. He actually beat me, so much for superstar DJ lifestyle then.
I saw Ian Holloway , the then QPR manager, at the Epsom Oddball Perch last year.
My friend Sarah got a round of applause from Dave Bedford as she crossed the finish line of the Liverpool half marathon last year - he stopped what he was doing to watch her go!
roger black and chris akabusi came to an athletics meeting i was running in when i was a wee un. they ran the opening and closing legs of the men's 4x4 with a couple of other guys and blew all the other teams away!
long jumper aysha hanson used to work in our local running shop too - she sold me trainers that i was told i'd grow into. never did..

Of course he was running in the other direction heading for mile 10 while I approached number 7.
It was a brief meeting.
And bumped into Bob Carolgees in a restaurant in Picadilly Circus once. Spit wasn't with him.
Dean Holdsworth sat down next to me in Lakeside once while his missus went into La Senza.
None of this has anything to do with running but who gives a ####? :-)
Emabrassing? Yes, but quite a honour at the time too..!

We're not going in the same direction though, mind
She teaches fairly locally to you, so you should happen upon her occasionally.
