In fact we're planning on doing as many of the 14 Somerset Races as possible this year . . there have been two so far at Babcary last week, and Butleigh yesterday, and we've run both of those and the cakes afterwards have been delicious
And the Easter Bunny 10k is the 3rd race of the 14.
I've run this 3 times before, in 2000, 03 and 04 . . and Trin ran in 04 as well . . so we're looking forward to coming back and running again . .
Looking forward to seeing everyone . . might even bring my camera!!
I was number 1 last Sunday . . Trin was number 3 . . never did find out who came between us!
Moe . . hi . . sorry we missed you. Suffolk's flat isn't it? How do you cope?
We're planning on doing all the Somerset Series except for the on on July 1st as we'll be on holiday then so if you're stopping off at any of the others let us know . . it'd be good to see you . .
We ran Butleigh this Sunday . . caught up with (and overtook LOL) Mixy . . it was Trin's first wet and muddy MT race ever and despite imitating Bambi on ice she still had a big grin on her face when I caught up with her at the finish . . although it may have been the prospect of impending cake that caused that!!
Rich K, not due back down till June but a group of YTRRC are coming up here for the Brandon Half at end of May, it's not quite as flat as you might imagine up here but compared to SW it's worlds apart!
Jools B, Pen Mill will be your best option or maybe even Castle Cary, I'm sure other entrants will be passing by both stations and if you're going to solve the problem, this is just the place to do it.
will have a think - it would be a pre-london sharpener to remind my legs how to do that faster running stuff and need to decide if i'm capable of holding back a bit rather than killing myself going flat out.
hmmmm, interesting, I had forgotton about this one, doubt i'll run it, hubby will bagsy this one, but I might be along to cheer! (Then I can snaffle Boff's egg on the way home!) :-)
I'm entered - my son is too. It will be his first "proper" race aside from school XC. I'll need to put some brakes on him, especially after his comment at Hogweed HIlly Half as the leader went by - "I could run way faster than him" :-)
I will, of course, act as sweeper - it comes naturally to me :-)
Looking forward to seeing lots of old friends again (not old in that sense!)
I've entered and am coming from Bristol. I don't drive but would be happy to chip in for petrol. However, not taking a decision on whether to run until tail end of this week, as seem to have a bit of a cold and don't want to jeopardise FLM. One thing I'm not good at is running easy pace in races - the competitive instinct is too strong!
Fab! If you fancy a lift and chipping in for petrol instead of getting the train then that suits me too. Let me know what you think nearer the time. I didn't enter in time so will have to pay on the day anyway. Thanks for posting!

But, can I drag my family along too? Unlikely, but you never know...
We've entered

Rich/Trin - are you doing Taunton?
RD
I'll be running with her so we will be somewhere near the back (not that I could ever get near the front!)
Hows the running going?
Not long now!!!
The daught is getting the distance up she runs and can manage 5 miles comfortably, so we should get around OK is not very fast.
Must put the forms in the post tonight....
Get my new orthotics this weekend which should help though.
Sub 56 for me with at bit of luck and a tail wind!
RD . . sorry . . I didn't see your post . .
Trin and I won't be at Taunton . . so you'll have to wait a little longer and we'll catch up with you here at Yeovilton . . enjoy that hill
Rio: seen anything of DB9? he seems to have vanished!
Does anyone fancy doing a lift share and sharing petrol costs? I can drive.
