As mentioned on Friday I had tickets for Saturday night and can only think how lucky we were in the original ticket ballot because it was pot luck what sport we would get and what night, it's only the last couple of months as the schedule has been finalised you realise it. Jess was brilliant although apart from pulling a muscle, with only the 800m to go, she was a cert at that point, the crowd were just brilliant though.
However the noise for Mo Farah, which was something akin to putting your head up the back of a jet engine, during the last lap and a half was an experience I don't think I will ever get again. The stadium was just one voice of incredilble volume.
Throw in a long jump gold, Dai Greene semi, Christine Ohurugu semi, 100m ladies semis and final and the ladies discus final, some night.
The whole stadium singing All you need is Love while we waited for the Jessica Ennis medal ceremony, and everybody singing the national anthem during it were two other great moments. And well done all the volunteers who are helping to make every day a happy day there.
I have some questions about the outfits, particularly the gymnasts.
Is there some rule that the women's leotards must have sparkly things on them? Because they all seem to, and it looks so 1980s.
Also, why do they wear one kind for one event, but a different one for another? Beth Tweddle was wearing a red one the other day, today it's the blue, union flag one.
The two British men in the pommel horse final had different colour-schemes of the union flag, too - one red, one blue.
I don't know about the sparkles, but I do know that in many of the events each country has to have a "home" and "away" kit. I don't know the rules determining whether they wear the "home" or "away" kit on any given day though - or why the two male gymnasts were wearing different variations on the kit in the same event.
Well getting back to Jess I say well done to her for winning the Laureus Award for World Sportswoman of the Year - Very well deserved and very well done to her!

The Guardian live blog claims it's the first gold for a British athlete since 1908 - dropped a few letters in all the excitement I think.

Jess is surely one of the best all round athletes that Britain has ever produced and my favourite athlete.
I don't fancy her. Not my cup of tea. I prefer the more curvaceous ladies.
Bit harsh to say she looks like a bloke!?
Exciting news. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/athletics/22905141
WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
i think she should try the hurdles instead
