I have got my kids into running (8 and 11 ). It's very gentle jogging, following the Get Running app. They love it but it means I have to run by them holding the music!!! I can't find a kids sized armband anywhere. They both have old non working iPhones that hold their music collections and this must be a big market especially with the current focus on health/obesity/Olympics. Any help on where I can find small sized armbands welcomed. Or other suggestions besides armbands?

So we're getting kids of 8 into the idea that you can't do anything unless you're plugged into your headphones....
That did cross my mind but i was trying to be objective and helpful
at least they are running!
If they are 8 and 11 try and keep them off pavements - I have the bandy legs that suggest this is not a great idea!
Great that you're getting them running! Sorry, no suggestions re. armbands - hope some of the other suggestions work out.
How far are they running? As soon as they're going far enough, try taking them to your local parkrun (if you have one near you). That's very motivational.
Fantastic! Hope you get there soon. Good luck.
so you are running together as a family and each just lietening to your own music..seems such a missed opportunity and they are missing the chance to learn to listen to their bodies....or nature and will be unaware of the dangers of strangers approaching or of traffic..or in the park of bikes coming behind them...........
just seems so sad to me that they need a false computer to tell them they are doing well......is that too hard a job for a parent to do.........a computer can't tell if they are pushing too hard or on the wrong surface or having a niggle which will turn into an injury if they carry on............
