Now I think it's obvious to all that those who've just finished the NDW are having terrible separation anxiety and can't just let the thread die
so I thought I'd create a new thread so people could post what they're planning on next. So not a wish list but what you've either got booked or just about to book or apply for when it opens. So for me it's the Cotswolds Ultra next month for a leg stretch, I haven't run for the last month so it'll tell me how much fitness I've lost, then in October the Dusk 'til Dawn and La Frontera, November brings the Winter 100 and December the MCN 40 in the Brecons. Next year is a little fluid at the moment, I'll stick my name in for Western States with no real expectation of getting a place, Laverdo Ultra trail in June if I don't but I have a guaranteed UTMB place in August so that'll be my main focus. I'll probably do a bunch of 40s and 50s as training runs along the way. Year after will be the Tor des Geants, I missed out this year and my name hasn't crept to the top of the wait list thus far so that's still one on the back burner. So what are you planning?

can i join Mr Lirish sir please????
*gulp* i feel a bit better now Mr Lirish boss now that you have created a new home for us all after NDW
i have Abingdon marathon in October, then Druids in November...not got anything for December yet so if anyone has sugeestions im open to offers..january i want to do Country 2 capital45, february im entered in TT50 , march nothing yet, April im interested in the 2day cotswold way , May i might do Dukeries or northants, August i was going to offer to be at aid station for NDW50/100 BUT i know already im tempted to run it again
I've don't the TT and the country to capital, nice races and all but nothing special in terms of terrain or difficulty
i live in Oxfordshire..about as far away from mountains as you get
Providing i can sort my injury out i am fairly booked up, well in my head anyway.
Next is Snowdon Mara followed by the Winter 100 will pretty much finish this year off.
I'm in Thames path 100 again because i'm sure i can get nearer 20 hours there. I'm 40 next year so i really want to do something big so i'm hoping to get in Western States or UTMB if not i'll be entering GUCR as a back up. If i don't get any of those who knows? All leading up to Badwater in 2014. Fingers crossed.
I have Ultra Trail Peak District next Sunday, Abingdon Marathon in October, Druids day 1 in November, Country to Capital in January, TT50 in Feb, then after that it's under discussion lol.
I wanted to do the local Hereward Ultra at the end of November, as it would only be 3 days after my 40th birthday, but it looks like its not being held this year, only the Relay, which is a bit disappointing
more chelsea tractors luv
I plan to run an ultra in the near future without making a horlicks of it ... it has a name too... Caesars Camp. I am also considering a run around Streatley in November if anyone is about?
*Dill* - Will you be running with a crew or unsupported at GUCR if you do it? I beleive that is a name in that hat job too? may be worth putting your entry in anyway and can always turn it down if your favoured events come off. Just a thought, dont want you to miss out
wheres Streatley? is that oop norf? sounds like Corrie or something
Berkshire... nicely palced on the Thames Path and the Ridgeway.
ohhhh i can find that okim brill wiv maps me...ahem
Thats the one Lirish. Will see how CC goes first, my main aim is Rocky Raccoon so wont do Winter100 if it will affect that. Also doing Country2Capital in Jan as a build up to Rocky Raccoon.
Im thinking of doing the Brecon Ultra in Dec, never run at night off road yet so would have to get some practice in. Maybe Round Rotherham in October,
Next year possibly the whole of the Wales Series,
WiB I would use a crew for GUCR and yes i was aware it was another lottery. So there is a real likelyhood i won't get any of them. I have considered The Thames Ring which would certainly put me in a good position for my Badwater entry.
I want to do Country 2 Capital so better get my entry in or that'll sell out. Rocky Racoon looks good though.
After missing NDW due to injury, I'm hoping to get abck to some sort of form for the Winter100 in November....
So Purbeck and HH Beauty and the Beast maras in September, Clarendon and CC30/50 in October, should hopefully get me there.
Maybe one of the hardmoors will fit in next year.
good stuff *Dill*
cragchick - Hoping to run Highland Fling in 2013... well, I have a hotel booked as of yesterday
Those aspiring to the UTMB might have more chance of getting in than they think. The entry requirement has been increased to seven points this year, which means less competition if you have the seven points.
I have had a pretty good 2012 campaign so far. I am signed up for Hardmoors 60, Leicestershire round ultra, and plan to round the year off with the Winter 100. Next year I have unfinished business with the Viking Way Ultra, and will try for a slot in UTMB through the lottery.
I like the look of the Kintyre Way for next year, anyone on here done it?
i seem to remember you telling me about TP100 early this yearand suggesting i pop down and see the end, and me offering to marshall at oxford end in 2013 and to give you a boot up the ar$e if you were flagging....
TP100 is in March Lou... my little mind doesn't work that far ahead!
