I think we use our bodies more than we know. We feel through various parts in our bodies. We experience this world through the sensors and nerves. Brain is the part that rationalises it and puts it together in a way we can deal with it and sends messages back to our bodies to be able to respond certain way,
When I feel love I dont feel it in my brain, but all over my body, tingling in my tiny sensors. Brain has little to do with it.
i would say without a doubt the brain would fall in love.........think of those paralysed from the neck down........they still have all the same feeling emotionally even though they have no physical feelings..........
they can still feel anger and depresion so i imagine they must still feel love as well...
I think you need to define the conditions under which this brain survives without a body. Is it the classic brain-in-a-jar of your science fiction cartoon, being fed with oxygen and stuff? Are we allowed to feed it with sensory perceptions of one sort or another?
Let me check my Descartes and I'll get back to you.

I doubt it, firstly how do the brains communicate, and secondly look at the lobes on that doesn't have the same ring to it

@ KK
How do you know your body currently exists and isn't just a simulation?
Colin,
maybe the question should have been " does our body or our mind determine whether we fall in love " .
My mind, her body.
