Hi, just wondered if anyone can give advice about waterproof running gear please. Its for a mountain marathon and they seem to stipulate taped seams and hood as essential.
So jacket wise, im looking at either OMM Kamleika Race Jacket or Montane Minimus jacket. Any other suggestions or which is best?
Trousers...any advice?
Thanks

It's very light, packs up to a tiny size and is totally waterproof. How resilient it will be over time, we will have to see. You will still get wet, because it isn't breathable.
Hope that helps.
I have Haglofs Ozo Q Pullover. Ultra lightweight, breathable, packable. Made from only 2 pieces of material so no rain penetration through seams. Taped zip chest pocket and adjustable hood. Not cheap, bought in the sales. It's an essential piece of kit for me.
The OMM Kamleika stuff was the best kit I've bought, I've got the jacket and trousers and they're brilliant.
Montane jackets always get a good write-up too.
I have the Montane Minimus and it's great - lightweight, packs small and about as breathable as any of these things.
Montane do waterproof trousers as well, which I'll have to get for Lakeland 50 next year, I think.
