Anna looking at the site it says roads will open after 2 and half hours. Does this mean you have to finish within that time? I was going to do this one and thought that like the Norwich one the only cut off was a 90 min half way one but the 2 and half hours makes it seem even tighter? Especially as Ipswich has some slopes in it.
Hi and thanks for your question. Sorry for late reply but I was not in the office to catch up on this forum. No you don't have to finish within that time and there is not a cut off point as at Norwich. The reason for stating that is that the roads are only officially closed for that period of time, however it is still possible to continue with care and I am sure you would not be the only one.
Best of luck on the day and I hope the training is going well.
Just over 2 weeks to go and the countdown is really starting. If you have not yet entered please visit the race website and do so as soon as possible to ensure you have a place.

Good luck to everyone running!
Can't wait for this one. Using it as a pre Liverpool Marathon run. Ran Colchester half earlier in the year and really enjoyed it. I'm sure this will be as good.
I really hope you enjoy your day. We all think it is a great race and hope you do too.
Good luck with the Liverpool Marathon.
I'm in as well, looking forward to it, nice local race for me so even with the early start it's easy. Have the numbers been sent out yet Anna, I haven't received anything?
I'm in I'll be racing the sweepers
I don't think they post the numbers you have to collect them

Your race number including timing chip (already attached) will be available to collect from Northgate Sports Centre on either Saturday 22nd September 4-6pm or on the morning of the race from 7am. Please allow plenty of time to get to the centre, park if needed, collect your number and complete the information on reverse..
