It's a two-and-a-half mile jog or bicycle ride from Muttley Mansions so it would be rude not to, really. Especially as a minor hamstring and glute niggle seems to have resolved itself.
So I'm in!
Can't go wrong with a Purple Patch event anyway imho ...

Only me then?
That was fab. A nice little outing along the river and into scenic Reading and back. Highly enjoyable in cool conditions, perfect for running. And did a reasonable time too.
Any race with a tea n cake stand is alright by me.
It was my first official event in many years and I had a great time. Was very chuffed with my time, coming in just under my 50 min target. Roll on the Royal Parks half next week
The results are up already and are right here. Quick work, guys!
Good to see you there Muttley. I hope the high 5 didn't throw you off balance!
Heh, we did make good contact ...
Good to see you there. I had a good race and was happy with my time. Enjoyed the day out!
I keep meaning to give this one a go but was elsewhere in the Reading area yesterday - cheering on my son and husband at the Mortimer 3k and 10k respectively! A great event too, though Reading Roadrunners could get the results up a bit more quickly or at least put a notice on the website saying when they'll be ready. I did the Newton Abbot Ladies 10k last week, there was no chip timing and the event finished around 12.30. The results were on the Teignbridge Trotters website by about 3pm!
Reading Road runners took a long time putting the results up for the Mortimer races?
An even bigger hats off to Purple Patch then for being so quick with the O2O results
