No rest for the wicked........after a run in Ely Cardiff yesterday.i had to kill time whilst the boys played hockey then I am pleased to report i am still alive
got to shoot off to the cartavan for a couple of days last minute with my mother so i will have to take my running shoes to get a couple of runs in devon............
this is getting complictaed.never run in so many different places in one month
I have broken my run badly this week..fine till wenesday.even ran down the caravan..........but after so much driving that week and other things I felt tired and with a race coming up on the saturday i rested.................so I will admit failure and try and rejoinfor october..........getting m,y OH to do the Liverpool trip next weekend so i can rest and train
I have taken inspiration from this thread and have challenged myself to 5k every other day in October, then I will build up to 10k for a race in December, then start on my Half Mara training plan for Mid March
I thought the commentary would be on my poor spelling/proof reading in that post (fabulous skill to have in my profession) rather than complete misquoting of my actual words!
50 shades would without question be substantially better than 50 days of 5k.

That is all.
OK - then I have something you can sign up for and unlike Gladioli's challenge you will have to sign a contract for mine!

Morning runs rock - I get to feel smug all day
Seren - me too - though sadly all boring and part of a commute!
Ran yesterday and a Double run day today
16/18 now,
will be 17/18 tonight
21.1km on Sunday through the rain swept streets of Newcastle! 11km this morning to make it 18/18!
18/19
this is quite hard work...... having to catch up when you miss one
Us hard core peeps don't miss one! Today was tacked onto the end of the first bike for about 3 weeks. Possibly the first bike run brick for a year?!
Still, weather has been great so far, next few day might be a little more mentally taxing!
That means I am a reformed character.
On that note...off to run a half marathon in the child of hurricane Nadine. As you do.
i'm still 23 for 23
No, hard core folks would do it one go.
By my calcs 23 days * 3.1miles = 71.3 miles so far.
I have done: 6, 3.25, 5.3, 5.1 and 53.5 = 73.15
OK I have only done 5 runs but can I join?

Still hanging in there!
5 miles done today. First time I have had to run in the rain, and it's hardly heavy.
Beginning to think about October's challenge...... ideas?!

October....
did 24 on monday, 25 and 26 yesterday.
too many threads / posts to keep updating
Well I did it!
A nice 9 mile run to finish the month (longest run in over a year but really enjoyed it.
Still not sure about October yet...but it's not going to be limited to running only like September...
I can't believe I've managed a month without drinking too, possibly the firt if my adult life
I'm contemplating 50 days...
Blimey.
So October gives 8 or 10 as an option.
If multi-sport is on the menu then options abound for 5k (as per September) or upping it to 8k. 10m options on the bike and 8*10(0)m on the swim.
I will however be swimming a bit, running a bit and biking a bit.

belated update - run #28 and 29 on friday, run #30 was a 9k jaunt on top of a 80 mile ride.
happy days.
