i am doing one leg of the JW ultra this month and snowdon marathon next month.but won't be racing either.just for fun.............My main aim will be Outlaw next year with Bala as a warm up
right.............decided that i really wanted to come down to support this one.so have netered the half instead of bala...........so i can do my half and support
I am cycling to Barcelona in two weeks time. I should hasten to add that its a relay and there are 4 groups doing it. It's help to focus my training, I find training at this time of the year diffcult - the main event seems so far away. I haven't been near a pool for weeks and my running is a bit hit and miss. So I have been cycling lots.
I am really pleased with my cycling, I'm finally improving . I'm cycling 1.5mph faster than this time last year and I'm even beginning to like hills !! Oh ...and I broke the 30mph going down hill the other week
and third time lucky it will be dry and sunny..........the advantage of the half is that the hills don't start to hurt until you do thenm the 7th time............5 laps sounds perfect to me
and with 1.1 mile laps.you don't need to carry water etc and you will always be near people even when you are at the back of the pack.its not a lonely run on your own to the finish
DK.....if you get a unique water bottle.you can have a drink and then put in on the side of the track.next lap pick it up have another sip and drop it down 30m down the path..so you don't ned to stop for the drink........you can just pick up, drink and put down further along.....

well I did a 90 minute cross country walk, running for 1 min in every 5.
it felt great
my legs are full of nettle stings though !

PLT.I am so jealous of you cycling to barcelona.......you will be removing layers of clothes as you cycle south no doubt..

And its a 10 hour finish limit. And it means I can support Purple and have a good couple of days. All sounds good really.
