Unfortunanetly it looks like I have bee unsucessfull in gaining a place in the ballot this year, Does anyone know if places become available nearer the time due to people pulling out or is there anyone who has  a spare place

    Hi Paddy places are not transferable so you won't be able to get a place from someone else. I think the only option now is to get a place froma charity but they will have a minimum amount you need to raise in return for the place ..

    Still time to get a championship place, charity place or win one through a competition. Alternatively do another marathon, MK, Edinburgh, Marathon of the North are all popular.

    Charity or Championship seems the only way at this late stage.

    With 125,000 people going for the 25,000 (ish) ballot places I don't think there will be much chance of any "spare" places hanging around. If someone gets injured then they will just defer to the next years event.

    Join TOWIE they get places for being Z list celebs. 25,000 ballot places, dream on, its more like 10,000 ballot places maximum.
