Good evening. F*ck me, we are eager beavers loike. I reckon we should all be on for at least sub 2:10's by this time next year...? I fully expect us all to have elite numbers. C'mon Chris'nAndy, your starting line up is here. Free places for your devoted fans...?
Hi HeOw , I think if we all really take it seriously, we should be able to do the 2 10, that you are on about, at the end of the da, how hard can it be with the proper training?
Plan is - RUN EVERYFINK AT MARATHON RACE PACE of 4:57m/m. How hard can that be? 130 miles a week. 15 mile Tempos faster obviously. All fueled by Cadbury's Boosts, Flat Coke and a dash of Lance Armstrong's milk from his fridge. Bob's yer Uncle and Fanny's ya Aunt. Cannae wait, my plan is a classic and simple one. Can't go wrong...
I'm tempted to enter after 2011's nose dive of an attempt! I'm suprised there's just short of 3000 entries for this one, would have thought it could be at least double that?
I am hoping to improve on my time next year..... It has been a steep learning curve over the last 18 months, and am sure the next year will be interesting as well.... Must say that I wouldn't have run the race that I did without my garmin, and will also put in mor miles ready for next year, over all, great even, nd roll on next year....
I'm in again, did my debut here in 2011 and also London and Chester this year ... Third time lucky (couldn't beat my London PB despite perfect weather conditions). Unfinished business? Too right! Probably need to reduce mileage to improve next year ... Easier said than done when you love to run!

There's something in this I'm a bit slower so I'll build up slowly, one lap at 4:57m/m this week, two next week, three the week after. Then that's about 47 laps at 4:57m/m pace before taper. Yeah, that's my plan, how hard can it be? Now, where can I get some of Lance's milk and red eggs*
You're always training Jason! I'm surprised you find the time to come on here at all in between training and racing!
I'm fed up because I think I have (self-diagnosed) hip bursitis and am having to rest! I don't think my body agreed with all the speedwork I was doing to improve on my 10k PB so I'm having to rethink my training strategy. Hope to be ready to get back to some kind of training by next weekend. Fingers crossed!

After a spectacularly poor time last week today I ran a cross country and did my best time on the course ever. Looking forward to next year!
If I do a marathon next year it'll probably be this one again. I have unfinished business with marathons .........!!!
well in lad.
Might well join you lot next year at Chester - it sounds as though it was awesome race with some brilliant organistion
