Heartthrob? Dunno, seems like a nice enough bloke. I'd have a beer with him. He's currently trying to teach me what quantum physics is all about, and being only partially successful if I'm honest. Might try and finish off the book this weekend.
And I CNBA dredging up the earworm thread but thanks - that D:Ream track looks like it's gonna be hanging around this afternoon!
Not in my world . Not even sure he's a nice bloke - didn't one of his roadies once gaffer tape him to a lighting rig for being a pain in the butt???? It was on tv - some comedy panel (am I lying or not type) show and he admitted to it! Always amazes me how people can be one person on camera and another when it's turned off!
Now I could definitely have a drink with her! I met her at a seminar/book signing and she really is quite charming. I got the impression that all the geeky enthusiasm is very real. Definitely my favourite "thinking man's crumpet", beats Vorderman hands down.
I don't remember him being an arse when he was in D:Ream. Yes, I met all of the band as I worked in a venue they played at. Hubby did the lighting for him that night, or at least helped to set it up. I think they might have had their own lighting technician that did the actual show while Hubby did it for the warm up band.
And roadies think that anyone who makes them do work is a pain in the butt.
How many other physics professors do you know who have been the keyboard player in a band that have had a number hit single in the charts? He played the keyboard in D:Ream on their number one hit, Things Can Only Get Better.
Professor Brian Cox is one cool bloke who's making science popular again.
That's Professor Alice Roberts to you! Most definitely easy on the eye. The soundtrack on this clip is pretty rubbish but the sight makes up for that ...

Yes.
All I can see is a goofy, albeit inoffensive bloke that's enthusiastic about his subject. Or is that the point and I'm missing it?
I can see the appeal ..young, nice, looking soft voice VERY clever ( clue in the professor bit )
He's no stunner, but that's not the appeal
Plus he can play the piano *swoon*

I went to see Uncaged Monkeys in Manchester last year. It was geek heaven
Brian Cox on the piano and Tim Minchin on guitar singing a Christmas song - excellent!

nooooo
I prefer the parody guy off of that impression show thingy...
on me, Michael...
I prefer Dan Snow - but perhaps that's because he's a historian
Its all about the character and personality.
he could turn me...
Apparently my aunt thinks he's "easy on the eye".
Personally, I much prefer Dr Alice Roberts.
He's the thinking woman's crumpet

I'm not sure meeting them once would give you a full view of who they are!
And not all roadies are lazy!
Correct sleepy bear, but the most obnoxious ones tend to be like that all the time.
I never accused roadies of being lazy, but they don't like being told what to do.
+1 for Alice Roberts
What are you saying ?

Top bloke!
Not as far as I'm concerned. I can't think of anyone on the telly who is
And much as I dislike judgements made on appearance, how on earth did Andrew Marr ever get to be a tv presenter - he must scare children

I'll just go change my pants.
That I'm not young and he's older than me
I like him! I think he's cute, and being smart helps
