I'm on the other side Orbutt... I think that they've done a good thing by having the different price groups. If they only offered 110EUR, people would be up in arms because they're "pocketing" the extra money.
Donkey - have you had a look at Lufthansa from Manchester? Bookable now £82, including hold luggage and you don't have to pay extra to select a seat.
EasyJet from Liverpool is currently booking up to September 8th and would be about £35 each way plus a £9 booking fee - and thats for hand luggage only and a lucky dip seat.
After saying that, I've booked EasyJet from Liverpool for Paris.
You'll likely hear in January if you've been successful, then the charity places are released.
If you get a place through the ballot, they offer you a chance to spend a large amount of extra cash to guarantee your place for 3 years in advance. Makes me sick to give cash to BUPA but I love the run.

Glad you'd fun on hols.

hmm...I'm doubtful I'll hear but will wait and see. Guaranteeing a place for 3 years?!?! surely they have enough people wanting to do it without offering that?
holidays were fun In a mad running, swimming, cycling blur way.
I love big races, and have also paid up for another 3 years guranteed entry into GNR after using up my 3rd year this year, can't wait! Nice warm up for Berlin! So far, I've also got the Great Manchester Run (did I mention I love BIG races?!) and the Leeds 10K. Will sign up for the Great Yorkshire Run when it's out.
....and here's one from the weekend with my running face on, without ears on...
The greatest thing about running is, in my humble opinion, is that even if you've a great race, you always want to better it.
I may have the mentality all wrong, or maybe it's because I'm a below average runner at best, but the psychological side is, to me, so interesting.
Saw my GP today - unfortunately tells me to continue to layoff running, to let the PF settle. I've been referred for orthotics. The physio was of little use. Basically, I've put about a stone on since Berlin and am shockingly low. I may have to disobey the practitioner... I need to get back to the gym too...

For any London flyers Lufthansa out of London seems to have the edge on BA price wise with the odd 'Economy Saver' still up for grabs.
Donkey - where are you flying from? How much is Easyjet charging at the moment?
2500 places left - be quick!

I must admit to being a bit peeved by this bit...
"There are 85 start tickets left for 60 Euros, 1.417 for 90 Euros and 998 for 110 Euros"
So, I could now go in and get a place cheaper than the one I initially bought?

...I just thank the lord I am in as I foolishly booked our flights and hotel prior to entering (and they say you get wiser with age )
Im sure it will be around £30 each way ... and I am flying from liverpool!

Orbutt, Donkey - Lufthansa sounds like a really good deal. I'm paying roughly twice that from Newcastle, but no easyjet alternative...
Hoping that I at some stage i manage to get myself out and train rather that just writing about it!!!
EHN - me too. Plan for Paris starts Tuesday... I'm already carb-loading!
Currently I'm dreaming of being able to complete the following (at least) in 2013:
Jan 1st Morpeth 10k
Feb 17th Brighton Half
March 23rd Coniston 14
April 7th Paris Marathon
June 23rd Alnwick Half Marathon
July 14th Northumberland Coastal Run
September 15th GNR
September 29th Berlin Marathon
After that, have to see if I can still walk!
How'd you get into the GNR?! I signed up for the email notification but got nothing
RS - I'm a member, 2013 is my 3rd year of three.

At present I just have Liverpool Half in March in my sights but intend to rectify that.
All the best with day one of the Paris training Iain -Paris marathon another great event

I generally am a BIG race fan too...and great running face Sticky (mine alas is still a deep red from my 5k on the TM today)
Sticky, that's an awesome running face! The outfit makes it pure class!
Sticky - love it. Look at you, you're floating.
You need the ears though
EHN - I'm in for Liverpool too
I am doing Liverpool too, plus 4 Villages, Blackpool Half and manchester marathon and probably a few others too
JPenno - Also doing 4 Villages and Blackpool Half but not Manchester
You're a runner after my own heart...
..infact rather than me just telling everyone I am running Liverpool -I perhaps had better actually sign up for it.
Orbutt & JPenno is the Mersey Tunnel 10k also on your lists???
EHN - it will be.
Did it last year but didn't do as well as I wanted, so unfinished business.
Orbutt - I have unfinished business with all of last years races!!!
Kaz - now that I think of it.....
