So, having missed out on the ballot run by the actual race, then missed out on the six places given to my 'first claim' athletics club, I 'win' the ballot for the single place offered to my second claim club, which I joined on a whim. So now I have to get my ITB into shape and I can give the winter training a go. Not sure whether to laugh or cry.
