Malcs - there'll be a thread started very soon for you to post your pitch on and then the pitches are judged by an independent person. You pick your own marathon and own schedule.
Fair point T.mouse. I'm very new here so I'm sure there are other regulars who deserve a forum six place more than me.
I've done the odd search over the years (usually on injury matters ) and I've followed the Target 26.2 winners but I've only got into posting since becoming part of the bootcamp process. These are my first postings outside the nest that has become the 26.2 thread.
I have to say everyone has been incredibly friendly and very helpful. Only problem is all the discussion and banter is very addictive!
we have new ones as well as long as they have started posting and seem to fit in and have a sense of humour and can show they are willing to post regulary
How exciting is this! There's some very good newbies on the marathon thread at the moment so I reckon you're going to get a good response. The Asics 6 are announced on Thursday so plenty of time for those not successful to get pitching here afterwards.

Last year the dates for the marathon were quite relaxed, so if you wanted to run a marathon in June then that was acceptable.
Only rules are that you need to be a forumite and regular poster, not a fly by night never to be seen again.
You'll be mentored by another forumite with a proven track record in chewing the fat and talking toot.

Thanks T.mouse+Minni for your fast replies.
I have all the mentors in place and then it's down to you!!
Then it's handed over to KK and her team of independent adjudicators to pick the lucky few which will be announced on Christmas Eve
Bruce, I think threre's a nice easy flatish one about that time, yes.

hmmm... I was thinking of another very flat (cough cough) marathon being organised by a forumite.
Oh, Malcs, I voted for you anyway.
T.mouse - thanks a million!
seren - I'll be at Llanelli if Paris is a no-go!
