Blisters - training is over rated but fresh pasta stands you apart from other men.
What's next for you race wise DD?
Off darn sarf for pre-xmas socialising and present swapping this morning so exercise opportunities will be limited and the weather doesn't look conducive to running.
What: probably nothing. Why: see above Last hard: 2/12 Last rest: 14/12
Lyrics - yes.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
happy friday everyone Ale- thats a real bummer, my thoughts are with you really mild darn sarf today LmH, didn't even need a coat walking to the station this morning what - 5 easy at lunchtime why - clear the head (again), fortunately yesterday was the last of the work related socials last rest - a week ago last hard - Tuesday
Ale sorry to hear about your friend. DD wow, great run last week! Blisters fresh pasta, surely that is training, just cooking training?
What: attempt at a few miles in the snow hopefully Why: I haven't been out since last Monday due to biopsy and wound dressing. It's still on, but much smaller and easier to handle. Last hard: the last 10 days of nothing. Lyrics: Don't think so.
Christmas tree is up, snow is falling, definitely got a Christmassy feeling round here. Best news is, now I'm off antibiotics I can go drink the gluhwein at the Christmas Market
AH..tough times, thoughts with you. 50 miles on the bike DD, I find that bad enough in a car!! Lyrics: Unsure What: Haven't a clue, Why: Waiting for update on Paddington trains from son (Returning to Wales for Christmas) Last rest: Yesterday Last hard: Week past Sunday Last day at work today so get some training in from now until 28th then off to Rome
What: 3k walked in 31 minutes, off road, although I was also naughty! Why: included 4 x 60 (metres, not minutes or miles) very slowly run. Not allowed yet so don't tell the phys! The very slowly run bit actually seemed easier than walking very fast, but I won't be overdoing this and will have to judge any reaction to the calf, rather than the Achilles.
Lyrics: no
That sounds more promising, Emzap.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
Alehouse - don't go undoing all your good work so far
OH - sounds good.
emzap - being able to drink gluhwein is definitely progress.
Dustin - you're right, we had blue skies and even a glimpse of a strange yellow thing on the drive down however heavy rain forecast for all day tomorrow so I may take advantage and nip out for a short run once lunch has settled.
Tom - don't push it if you have a steaming cold!
TC - hope he's soon home safe.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
I got beaten by the CNBA fairy this morning. Bitterly cold north-easterly winds were rattling at the house and I couldn't face going out there . Tomorrow is another day or maybe I feel brave enough to face the cold when I get home.
LMH: I'll be careful! It was a very gentle experiment and won't be repeated until Christmas day at the latest! Not sure what a blue sky with a strange yellow thing is? Apart from when I walked it has rained all day. I walked part of one of the local parkruns: I say part because the rest of it was flooded too deep to venture into.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
Alehouse - the river had been over its banks at home too but it seems somewhat drier here - though it did manage to rain for a little while whilst I was waiting for lunch to settle.
chickadeee - you're allowed the odd day off
Just five miles for me - but more than I was expecting for today. Just hope I can find a window to get out in tomorrow.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
