I feel honoured to have had an 'official invite' to this do on another thread (thanks SA)
Fits in perfectly for my IM debut at Forestman and having done a quick google can anyone tell me if the Premier Inn at Macclesfield South West is a good choice? Still rooms available - is anyone else staying there? Only a mile away from the postcode given earlier in thread, so could stay for a few post-race beers then stagger/ride/pootle back to bed...
The premier inn you have mentioned is OK and is indeed only 1 mile away, there is another premier inn north macclesfield but is not as good, there is also a travelodge in the centre of town
SA - I wasn't planning to, simply because the day I'm racing I can't look after him, and my partner has to stay home with the far more petulant teenager who's too grown up to be out with her mum and too young to be left on her own.
Alas I shall have to therefore have a weekend off family duties - now that will be a big load to carry, but I am prepared to make such sacrifices for my sport
I'm planning on staying at the Premier Inn. Sounds like I'd better get booked in! I thought about Friday night and Saturday night, got to be at work Monday hence racing Saturday. I'm not planning on rushing off on the Sunday though - not when there is socialising to do.
we just came up with the problem of how to fit the 4 of us in the car and camping stuff and bikes..........this weekend we will be having a look to see if the bikes would go in the boot on top of the tents......its a bit of a distance to take two cars
We could put one or two people up. Spare room with a double bed and an air bed in the dinibg room plus a sofa. We're 15 miles away from Macc. There's a chance we could get a bike trailer to make logistics easier getting to Macc and back.
To be fair, I reckon we could accommodate 4-5 in the house and a tent or two in the garden.
Hello everyone??? -happy new-year. Been away from the threads a while I did the diy last year it was a great day.
I will love to join you all that weekend competing on the saturday would be my prefrrence. I will speak to Razor and hopefully we can both commit to one off the days. Best wishes to eveyone

Are there any campsites nearby? I'm too stingy to pay out for a Hotel
dont know about campsites, but we have a small back garden, you could put a tent in there, we also have a very small spare romm and lots of space downstairs for airbeds etc, if any one wants to stay over, we have a sofa bed but Cake and Booky usually take that

Didn't want to assume we could nick the spare sofa bed this time round but if it's going spare.
The back garden is big enthough for a few tents and I have a stockpile of camp stuff at mine if any use to anyone, also got some tents.
Way it's going might just be me for the saturday as better half has a new job but if needed we live about 50 minutes drive away so could put people up for the night and drive over if required.
p.s. you beat me to it Les Boules, I did fullt intend to come on here last night, then managed to totally forget!
p.p.s SA, are you doing the double this year?
Hi Lee
Unfortunately not, Mrs SA has got a place at IM Florida with Colourin and I am doing the husband bit and will be just handing out bottles and shouting abuse this year, so much that the only race I'm doing is the DIY half, that and the fact that after going long for the last 3 years my body needs a rest

Are you bringing any of your family?
I remember your son got on very well with Jordy at the Outlaw feed station
Brilliant! Thanks both of you. Sounds like accomodation now sorted...
Now just have to work out the logistics of bringing OH (or not!), and kids (or not!) and whether I am allowed out for the whole weekend or just a day
MTH - me too - to all the above points...
SA - how many volunteers do you need each day? am sure if i bring my OH she will volunteer in some capacity if required.
Why would we want to. go on you know you want to just ake sure you get SA and Mrs SA a pint in for sorting out the party.
