oooh that sounds good, I've often thought about doing something similar, I'd quite like to give talks etc as well. I want to go into CBT/life coaching, that's why I'm doing the psychology and counselling, and working at the domestic abuse charity as well. it's a fascinating subject. good luck with the book
Evening folks. Two weekends out of the way without falling off, so pretty pleased so far. Was very tempted yesterday. Have not slept we'll for the last couple of weeks but that is starting to improve. I think by this week at some point we will hopefully all start to feel the benefits! Loon and Mr F, those parties are worth waiting for!
Hi, I've not yet felt that I am going to give in to temptation but I sure as hell would like to see a positive difference pretty soon!!! I'm only going until 2nd Feb but am considering doing this again the month before my next marathon (only if I can notice a difference )
I escaped my biggest temptation so far. Went to see Les Mis at a cinema with a bar, and you can take drinks to the film with you. I got there without much time to spare and went straight into the auditorium to avoid too much temptation from the Perroni drinkers around me. I found the film very boring and thought a couple of times of giving up on it and heading to the bar but as I was in the middle of the row, thought better of it. Phew!
Evening all. Another day another detox! I too am feeling little or no real benefits, although I'm sure there are some. Don't feel any healthier really but I'm gonna stock with it! Earl start at work for the next couple of mornings so that should be two fairly easy dry nights! Hope everybody is well.
still clinging on but it's been a really tough few days. I do feel clearer headed and I tackled the ironing continent last night so something's working still not sleeping very well though
mr f, you saying you still wet the bed
well done all, anyone who has tumbled off the side just clamber back on, free life jackets are provided
Hope you get a better night sleep loon, I tend to go off ok but then wake up eay and struggle to go back to sleep.
I've come to realise that this drinking alcohol thing is purely force of habit for me. Yes I enjoy an ice cold beer, glass of wine etc but if seems fo be just part of the evening ritual as opposed do much else.
Morning. I actually had a reasonably good sleep last night.
I've just finished my spin class and I'm feeling good
I just have to remember the slow sluggish feeling I get the morning after a bottle of red grape juice and resolve that I would rather feel like I do now than I did then
Can't say I'm really missing it either! Got lots of reasons not to drink at the minute so lots of distractions. Re my works leaving party on 2nd Feb in actually a bit scared now of drinking cos il have a sore head!

well done FF evening Kev, I am definitely not in danger of not wanting to drink, I'm in danger of being aggressively possessive of my place at the bar
got through another dry weekend, yay! keep it up folks.
More off than on, especially at the weekend tbh, climbing back on for the weekdays tho' so we'll see how this week pans out!!!
Hope you've all had a nice dry day?
17th day of the rest of my life is coming to an end. I don't really feel the difference as yet but maybe tomorrow.
Well done everyone so far
Oh yes, so we will! Our young dog Charly is also 8 months old today.

a lot of it is definitely habit without a doubt
The good news is that I've managed to stay on the wagon. The bad news is - like you Loon - i'm having trouble sleeping again
