As vt mentioned he had to make an effort for it to work . Imo you shouldn't have to try - it should just work, so I won't change till it gets a software update. Lots of reviews mention the swim facility flaws so its not just bys dodgy swim technique
I have to press a button at the end of each lap (now I remember). At the end it tells me the total time, laps, fastest, slowest etc. It also shows the lap times for the last 100 laps.
Yep, mine's good in the pool too, though it does sometimes throw in an extra lap when I have to stop suddenly cos I've swum into a slower moving object

They're the ends of the pool Trogs!
Cat - if the ends of the pool appear to be moving mate, you may want to lay off the High5 for a while
I'm torn between the RCX5 and the 910xT there are pros and cons to both but the tour de France special edition is black and yellow .... Very tempted?!?
in addition to FF comments remember that it isnt using ANT procol -not very power meter friendly if you ever go that way - and it looks like its out the eighties
I think the stop watch function on 910 is broken - seemed to take about 15 minues to change from 1hr 59 to 2hrs on the turbo the other night!
It's power based Rafi. The clock goes quicker the harder you cycle. In practise, you'll find the less you draft behind people on the road the quicker the turbo clock will turn.
oh and the really easy weights and running sessions with 'Ben' - hes my 7 year old son - thats why the weights are short and the runs are slow - although he has done a couple of 5 milers (in under an hour)
I've been using it since Sep sporadically (was more run focussed last quarter) - and now trying to pick things again on the bike. I use the virtual power - the numbers could be measured in bananas for all I care, so long as I see some improvement month on month,
It really works you hard on the Sufferfest stuff. I'm like John Wayne afterwards, and some do need a bucket on standby.
All good for £6 a month. I just need a healthy dose of 80s music to see me through!

I'll throw this out there. I have a sportcount.

It does what I need.

Today one of the ends moved toward me very fast. Just like last week's backstroke problem.
The High5 is fine when taken nasally. <SNORT>
Hi all, does the 910' s HRM work while swimming? Or am I getting confused with a different gadget?
I'm afraid it does not work whilst swimming, shame really...i have heard mention of one that does work underwater but can't remember what make it was.
I think the Polar RCX5 HRM works in the water
Ah....yeah, I think it's one of the latest Polars now you mention it - cheers!
Have you got to wear a seperate GPS pod for the Polar?
Yes you get separate arm GPS unit
Good review can be found here

Thought it was, that was the main reason i didn't go with the Polar IIRC.

Sgt - you can see my turbo sessions here. Not sure how to show TrainingPeaks stuff.
what do you make of that trainer road Cat? how long you had it and do you use their virtual power meter?
I ferkin loves it!

yea - the measurement may be bogus but as long as its consistant at least you have a benchmark. think i may look into it, nice one
