Yep beginning of the week and three other pals got theirs by Friday. Hope yours come through tet. Great race for a pb although its very uninspiring scenery
Prob the same as they are both a straight out and back and flat. Dewsbury is ever so a slight incline but hardly noticeable but does make you think to go a bit quicker on return.
It finally appeared yesterday! I like these snazzy numbers with the chip in much more than the ankle `tag`! See you there. Forecast looks ok but could be windy.
Met Office 5 day forecast suggest 60% chance of rain and 13mph SW wind. Given Dewsbury to Batley road is pretty much south to north I assume it could be partially wind against for the last 5K?
Prefer this to the Abbey Dash, smaller and a lot less fuss. A bit worried I've got a very low number though, hope they haven't mixed me up with an elite as they'll be rather disappointed!
Well organised again as always and smashed three minutes of my pb!!
Pity its such a crap road to run on and I am allowed to say that as I was born in Dewsbury and went to school in Batley!
I agree TET the tag on the race number is excellent eather than the plastic tag on for your laces. I even got my results by text before I had got home to Mirfield only three miles away.
I had fun too. Got a great parking spot and was able to warm up well. Best 10k time for two hrs for me which is great after several months missed with stress fracture.
Not the nicest scenery but I did smirk running past Box the undertakers and a smoothlynrun race.
Was I at the same race? It was hard work due to the wind which seemed to be blowing in all directions. The last 2k in particular were tough due to the strong headwind.........not a day for fast times.

yep. Friday
How does it compare to the Abbey Dash, PB wise?

I got mine last week also. Glad to see the snow has disappeared

Well done Dewsbury Road runners

The wind was strange...went from behind to in your face without any discernable change in the route direction.
Having said that I improved my chip time from the Abbey Dash by about 25 secs but I put that down to increased fitness in the last couple of months.
Yeah, the wind did seem to change. It was on my back briefly from 5-6 kms but then into the face for the last 2km.
What's the odds of that lol
Any pics anywhere? Apart from the 4 on the DRR page. Saw some good ones when I did it in 2011.
Photos??
Richard Asquith was there last year, wonder if he's just not uploaded them yet??
