Hi, I'm looking for a 10 miler around 3rd Feb, on the thinking that I'm scheduled to do a 10mile time-trial then and I'd rather do this in a race/measured course if possible, ideally with a few hills involved (I'm training towards Hastings half).
This race is perfect timing and looks like a good course to test myself over 'undulating' terrain... but I don't have a car, and as far as I can see it, the nearest train station is at least 6 miles away. Would I be right in thinking that without a car, this race would be pretty impossible to get to? I don't mind a 1-2 mile or so distance, that's a nice warmup/cooldown jog, but I should probably draw the line at a 6+mile warmup...!

Bramley could be easier as it has a train station (17 Feb) but trains on Sundays are always a pain. I don't think the Tempest is realistic without a car, but you could go onto the Events to Live Facebook page and see if anyone could give you a lift.
thanks Hellywobs
Where are you travelling from? I think i am going to do the 20 miler but not 100% certain yet.
From Brighton - but I think I've decided to go out for a measured-by-me 10 miler around here instead and see how I get on.
It's a mission from Brighton, especially for a 10 mile race. Best do your own thing I think.
You get used to stupid train journeys eventually (I'm told)... but oh do I miss my car!
