Hi All - I'm hoping to take part in the Bristol Half Marathon on behalf of Wellchild in September this year - I know its a little way off but was hoping to gain some training tips to break me in gently!!
You've got loads of time so just go with slowly increasing your distance by no more that 10% on your long run each week. Building a good foundation and increasing distance slowly will stand you in good stead.
Most importantly enjoy your training and have fun.

Good luck!
Thanks Elizabeth - that makes sense!

Great Western Runners are pretty good. Do the Bristol 10k for the experience. Then in July start the Run Bristol traning plan.
