Is anyone training for outlaw doing a blog? ive read a few from people doing imuk and wales but would like to have a look at any at the same stage of training as myself, especially first timers.
really pleased with how my trainings gone so far 10 weeks into Fink, hit all the run and bike sessions so far ussually doing extra, just missed the odd swim but i'm confident with the swim distance now anyway.
same course as last year but last year you did the one loop round southwell first then 2 loops round the rest, this time its southwell in between the 2 loops
beat me to it SA, I was just looking at it and thinking "same route, different order".
It's academic for me anyway, I'm not doing the bike in our relay team, although Mr plodder is, and I need an excuse in case he's faster than I was last year

EP - If you want electric you need to book although you don't pay a deposit just email the nice people at nwsccampsite@nottscc.gov.uk and they will book it for you.
Lots of people on here say if you are not using electric you can just turn up and pitch up. I'm too much of a nervey sort so I'd email just to check anway but that's up to you.
EP - if you just want tent space, as said, just rock up and you'll be fine - no need to book. in fact I don't think they take bookings if you don't want electricity. the camping field is HUGE so there's very very little chance of there not being space
Last year, we got a rough idea of who was camping, then few of us rocked up on the Friday, 'secured' a Pirate area (and then went to the pub ). No doubt we'll do something similar this year.

I've not exactly been consistent with the base phase. Better pull my finger out!

Is there an up to date list of people doing outlaw?
no idea....seems to be a lot
There's 36 of us listed on the entries to date list although I may have missed anyone who put another club name first on their entry.
I was looking at the entries on the weekend and it was showing last years entries .. unless I'm looking in completely the wrong place!

definitely this year
I put PSOF as my club and it does not show as my club on the list but does on my profile..
Bike route is now up on the site
Route

It's not the most exciting bike course, but it is fast (unless it's windy ) and the surface is good.
There's one hill that people tend to worry about.... Unless you're from Wales, then you might think, "Call that a hill !! "
It looks flatter than my flat course I use for an easy training ride
Good excuse
Agreed, I thought it was a hill when you had to do it 3 times but then after Wales last year its just a bit of a bump now
somehow my name seems to have appeared on the entrants list
4 months of pain starts tomorrow then.

Yikes just figured out that to hit racing weight I need to loose more than 1lb per week between now and then! Best acutally start my diet now then!
Puts share pack of crispy M&M's back in drawer, Ok it's nearly empty now but the thought is there.
