Cheers guys.... Physio last night was brutal and deep! And, although I need to try and run to test it, pretty effective. I have a long history of psoas problems which are particularly acute at the moment.....
PSC - Hope you're able to get back on track quickly.
Official Parkrun time this morning put me 26secs outside my target (but a PB for that course ) Couldn't've found more speed today but should be able to build over the next three weeks. Less mud would help too!
As suspected I was way out on my predicted time, sorry. On the plus I now have a shinny new 1/2 mara time of 1 hr 44 mins, mega pleased that the ironman training is giving good results.
Afraid I failed for last week, 7 mile into a 12 miler yesterday I pulled my hamstring, limped home 3 miles. Resting it up as much as I can, may have to squeeze in 2x1 milers Saturday and see if I'd be ok to do a 13 miler Sunday.
Did my 'long' run last night, A whole 5.7 miles which was .2 further than I planned but I though my impromptu route was going to come up short so took a turning which added a slightly longer loop than expected.
Contemplating doing more challenging local Parkrun tomorrow but I'm doing a Tri-adventure event on Sunday so might just save myself for that instead. Haven't been on the bike for months so that bit could be interesting!
I have decided though that once I've reached my 6 mile long run target (next week), I should stick at 5-6miles for a few weeks to consolidate before going any further.
All logged and up to date. Yesterday I went out to do about 15 miles, ended up doing 17.5 in rain / hail / sleet and a bit of sun; far and away the best run I've ever had.

Mixed bag of weather over the weekend. Yesterday did 4 hr bike ride. really enjoyed it despite setting of at -2deg.

That's good, but this week you have 17 and you've only done a 16 !!

+1 well done on the PB Trogs
thanks Trogs... well done you on your course PB.. You are right, as it dries out we will all get faster!

Nice win of the Sandbagger award
Still a few need to update last weeks runs please.
Also check your long runs against what was planned.
We've had a few mentions as the weeks have gone by, the name PSOF is certainly getting about
Week completed, nice 15mi before breakfast
Weekend to watch the rugby and get a ride in - Perfect.

Sounds like a plan Trogs, good going.
Typical, weekend is over and this mornings run is done in dry weather.
Time to get last weeks running logged people

Close call for SA on the 5k, good running

Some days you just find yourself in the rhythm.
I know 5 seconds off what I said and they have given me a minus score
Penalty for missing prediction.
At least not as bad as EMT & PC who have a massive -19pts
Indeed. My training has gone considerably better than expected which resulted in a HM PB by 8 minutes......sorry
Brrrrr chilly out there again this morning.
Still time to get runs updated for those who need to.
Well done to FF who came pretty close to predicted time
Another fair morning for running, hardly any breeze and nice cool temps.
Run postponed today, wind at 30mph when awake, common sense prevailed for a change.
Tomorrow hopefully
That's good, but this week you have 17 and you've only done a 16 !!
Are you going out again for a long run ?
Survived 6+ miles this morning but it wasn't pretty. Was going to have another stab at my 5k target tomorrow but forecast is for horizontal sleet
Will see how it looks when I get up in the morning.
It's been horrible these past couple of days, sympathies with anyone who has snow at the moment.
Managed a good run this afternoon, waited as long as I dare before the weather decided to turn. Managed my 17 miles with a timed 13.1
Now the owner of a new PB of 1.59.47 just 3 seconds off my estimated time
Getting quicker as I'm getting older, happy with that.
