Hi guys, I am looking for a watch that could suit my training program. I basically do HIIT and Slow Cardio so I need a watch that have interval timer and alert feature. Other features such as training program, GPS, Calorie counter, Heart rate monitor are also useful for me. I was looking at 2 brands with their products, Polar with the RCX 5, RCX 3, RC3 and Garmin with the Forerunner 610 and Forerunner 910TX and I didn know which one to get and which one is better. Please help me to choose one. Thanks!

HI Jak,
Don't know if you've take the plunge yet, but I've been having the same issue, after reading loads of reviews, especially from this guy

I decided on the Garmin as it has in my opinion much better functionality, of which I like the layout of the screen and the virtual partner, race, and pace function, unfortunatly, I think the only downside of the Garmin is that it doesn't have an interval timer
Thanks
I haven't tried any you have noted but I have always been happy with my Garmin 410. There has been a bit of negative feedback concerning the bezel, but I've never suffered any problems with this feature. It's also apparently been discontinued so you may be able to find a reduced price on Amazon etc.
the Garmin 610 does have intervals:

Also with regards to Dudds comment I picked up the 410 a month or so back and whilst the bezel is a bit strange to begin with you quickly get used to it.
Works a treat and is easy to use.
