I'm putting in an early bet for home grown nutjobs rather than Al-Q.
I'm not doing London, but am firmly in the fuckem camp. If you start living in fear, the terrorists have won.
8/7/2005 I got the bus to work as I always did. The saturday after we went on an epic bender in central London, I think we were making some kind of point about not giving in but after the third bottle of vino it became a little less clear.
If I were in VLM I would probably be in the fuck 'em camp too. I worked in London in the 70s when the IRA mainland bombing campaign was going on, and people just kept calm and carried on.
Runners' instincts are hardwired, aren't thay? I found some grim humour in seeing runners near the finish crossing the line and stopping their watches before reacting to the explosion.
I don't think they'll target London as they know security will hightened. I'm going to be on the primary finish line on Sunday as i was last year. It was an absolute FABulous day and i'm not going to let any sick bastards frighten me off from being there this year.
You have to think if it was international terrorists - wouldn't they have said something by now to capitalise on fear. I think I veer towards Made in the USA but I take no pleasure in that - let's face it the UK has specialised in producign them for a few decades.
One mistake they have made whoever it was - don't pick on the one group of people who have trained to endure and go beyond what could be expected from your average civvy.
Fingers crossed they can find a resolution to this before next Sunday, if just for peace of mind. Thoughts are with Boston.
Truly saddened by yesterday's events . I ran Brighton on Sunday & my training partner is running London . I was & still am going with her & will be there supporting her .

You're at far more risk driving.
In the face of violence and hatred - it too makes me want to go out and do what I normally would do. I won't live in fear.
It doesn't reduce the horror of today's events but I really don't understand the over reaction.
For all you know David its some loony American group who haven't even heard of London ?
Happened to be at BBC TV centre when I found out. Eery to be there, the people in the newsroom were all standing up and watching their screens.
This seems similar to the nail bomber in London a few years back. Is it really terrorism or just some crazy lone person?
All the more determined to run Boston. Can't let these sick bastards affect our lives in any way. Disgraceful people.
I'm in with the fuckem field and would be in London this weekend...supporting or running.
What cause would make such an innocent target justifiable?
Fucking hell!

yes, I can't imagine you'd be thinking 'bomb' right then.
Shocked to see the news late on tonight. hard to comprehend.
thoughts go out to those who went out to have a wonderful day and have had their lives changed forever.

Can't see it being a lone person as there were multiple explosions? So sad, thoughts are with the family's affected by this awful tragedy
I refuse to live in fear .
This is doing the rounds on twitter, maybe the guy circled is something to do with it!
At least 17 people are critically wounded, officials say, and the injuries include several amputations
Not been online for a while.= Any of ours over there?
