Following yesterdays events does anybody who is running on sunday plan on doing anything as a mark of respect to those who were tragically killed / injured? Black armbands maybe?
There are a couple of things suggested - one is black armbands for runners and supporters and the other is for all runners to cross the finish line with their hand over their heart.
What a great idea sweetest thing, to allow runners to pay their respects in a dighnified way but not be compelled to as is the case with silences and minutes clapping. Those who participate will do so because they care not because of social convention.

I was vaguely wondering about making 4:09:44 my target time.
(But I don't think I can achieve that... I've missed a couple of weeks training recently owing to the cold that's been going round.)
I wonder whether we can mix black baloons with our usual blue and yellow at Mudchute?
If I had been running (I can't, I'm injured) I would have worn a black armband.

i think a minutes silence at the start would be appropriate
I need some ribbons for people supporting me, any ideas where I could get these or can I pick up a few extra at the excel?
just rip up a black pillow case if you can't find anything or an old balck tie
In London they're giving out black armbands when you pick up your race pack.
30 seconds silence at London has been announced.
