Donaldo: congrats - sounds great .
Yep - somewhere inbetween 55-70 and 70-85 (12 week schedule) with a bit of HADD thrown in. It has worked for my autumn marathon and hopefully for this one too. I reckon you will probably have done the higher mileage one
what: 3 easy miles
why: it was a beautiful morning (now it's blowing a massive gale)
last hard: this carb loading lark . I'm supposed to eat 440g of carbs but I'm nowhere near .
last rest: Monday
lyrics: no
Are you starting to load now then chickadeee? I've been trying to watch what I've eaten so far this week - and have lost the couple of extra pounds I was carrying - but am not sure whether to resume eating more normally today or tomorrow. Mind you, my idea of carb loading is generally 100g instead of 80g of pasta for my meal the night before and 100g instead of 60g of granola.
Marathon dreams nearly scuppered by a wind borne shopping trolley but got away with a glancing blow which doesn't seem to have done any harm fortunately. It is VERY windy.
Has anyone seen SC about?
What: JS group
Why: Thursday
Last hard: Monday
Last rest: yesterday
Lyrics: no
Windy here but nothing out of the usual
Number collected, tried on the new adidas boost but am slightly £110 shy of a pair though my freind bought himself some.
Off to eat a bowl of chips as I missed lunch.
Oh and give Dan from sub 3 thread a visit on his Xempo stall.
LMH: yep about to be fully loaded . I normally don't care what I'm eating and I lose weight automatically with increased mileage but Thursday - Saturday before the marathon I tend to eat more consciously. I. e. 2 slices of toast instead of one, slightly more porridge for 2nd brekkie, banana and dry cereal to snack on. Pasta for lunch, rice for tea ... it's hard work!
Losing weight automatically with increased mileage must be nice chickadeee - doesn't happen to me I'm afraid.
Which start are you on postie?
Afternoon from a very wet and windy north-west. April showers! Who said the seasons were all out of synch?
LMH: SC posted on Tuesday.
What: 20 minutes or so later
Why: I can (I hope) but hate running in the wind. Rain I can cope with.
Lyrics: no
8 miles partly with JS.
Dry(er) this evening.
LMH Red 1- probably the pinnical of my running career!
VLM nerves around. - I'll be watching with envy.
8 miles ran
2k swam
Was going to do a little turbo session but seems that it's my Birthdy and the kids had to be shipped around that was shelved.
Cheers for the job comments!
Alehouse, I will attempt to timetable myself into an easy life!
Rest day today instead of tomorrow. Need to do 10 miles with 8 at pace tomorrow so will be a tough session.
Lyrics today.....nearly....kind of recognise them....but, no!
Hi all,
pre VLM massage done, and clean bill of health for the muscles...
4.25m done this morning, just an easy parkrun with some strides on sat to do...
All ready, number collected etc....
for those that want to know, Number 5373 / pen 3 blue start / want sub 3:10 (at worst)
Take care
