Remote Heart Rate monitoring

I currently use a FR210 with HR strap and footpod. Prior to that I tried many iOS and Android Apps with a Wahoo belt (LE one).

Are there any apps out there that will automatically send my HR, speed, etc to a desktop app. I'm thinking developers might be reluctant to do this as the mobile data usage might be high.

Do top athletes ever have things like HR remotely monitored live?

If you want to display it on a PC then it will have to be a phone based app to send the data over the 3G (or 4G) network to an internet-based server, with a PC client.  The garmin watches don't have this type of functionality.

endomondo is one of the apps that streams your GPS data to their internet-based server, so people can keep track of you.  Its not a desktop app, but the website can be accessed from a desktop to get current stats etc.
