Heads up to the support group - I might change to another running top I'm a bit sad about it because I have my name printed on the one I pasted a picture of. However after seeing this headline http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-22212131 and then looking at the back of my shirt I am in two minds as to whether I should wear it.
Khanivore – it seems a shame if you cannot wear the shirt with your name on. Looking at it, I didn't even realise it was Rolf Harris! Also, he is being questioned but, as far as I know, has not yet been accused of anything...
Hi group 4 - i need you more than ever. One of my twins has broken out in chickenpox so neither of my kids or my wife will be there. A years worth of training has turned in to a bit of an anti-climax if i'm honest. Really going to need that boost you are going to give me...
It's not all bad - my parents will be there with my brother and a couple of my friends. It's just the kids not being there has taken a giant edge off the fun. Oh well.
Hey Khanivore, we'll be there ready and really loud to make up for your wife and kids.
Just realised, you are on the Brighton 2014 thread also. You'll have a brilliant marathon tomorrow, and you've choose a brilliant follow up marathon for next year.
Have a great night sleep, and a brilliant london marathon.
As luck would have it, I have a mini-megaphone which I am bringing tomorrow so you should hear me yelling your name loud and clear, Amir Shame about your wife and children but you will have a fantastic day, I'm sure.
I almost missed them too which meant I was not on the side of the road that they were on but I think they did still see me Almost missing them was due to being a bit knackered and predisposed with the impact on my time of the number 2 stop i had just had on my finishing time! Next year I am giving them a bottle of hand sanitizer if i do get in lol.
Oh I did!! It cheered me up so much. I just wasn't sure if it was Group 4 cheering - seemed like EVERYONE was. I ran up the road with a GIGANTIC grin on my face - saw the megaphone too lol. Thought you were joking about that before seeing it!
Thanks so much for the jelly babies guys! You wereamazing... i do hope none of you witnessed my 'mad scramble over the fence and up the bank' bathroom break antics, just after i'd seen you. I actually don't know what was going on in my head! Those poor people....!
