Sounds awesome. Would be great to meet some pirates. Sadly I'm doing a sea swim last weekend of Sep - trying to work out if I can hack iron distance sea swims. :-S
Well, I'll only be any good against The Ingenieur and Gladys if we go around the 2km 75 times approx. And even then, I'm not sure I'd beat The Ingenieur. Gladys would be a piece of piss obvs.
A party at your house Mr Foo? Are you quite, quite mad?
August is good for me! No events in August at all as its the lead up too Henley. So I would prefer this... Also I will happily wear my twat hat backwards!
August isn't fair on those with late season races (IM Wales/Henley). Early August will be peak training, late August will be taper when you are trying not to do anything stupid that might break your arms/legs/head.
Surely we can find a weekend in September (post 7th) to accommodate?
Alternatively, somewhere further back, just after Outlaw (July 7th). When are you racing Engineer?
I agree with that too but part of my post was based on the fact that Mr Foo is arranging and he may be racing late season. If I were event organiser, I wouldn't be wanting to herd a bunch of pirates around Essix three weeks before my A race of the year.

Sounds like 'handbags' to me! And in that scenario, I know who my money will be on!!
But you have to cart eight tons of triple up the hill.

We' d let Gladys do the early work - that's one hell of a draft.
Excellent right on my doorstep put my down please.
I fancy this and vote for a summer or September bash.
summer all day.
Any time after July 28th is preferred, but I will be there whenever? Can we go now?!
Jamie,Only if you wear it backwards
SE, How many laps till you catch and lap Gladys??
Just waiting for the to get back to me.
This sounds like it has the makings of a right laugh. And Button Mushroom hasn't called me a sadistic bastard for a whole year!
*throws hat into ring* Sounds like it will be a blast. Does anyone know if we can hire body armour?
September is reallllly busy for events ?? Cant we do a JUly/Summer one and have a bar-b somewhere ??
I have Alpe D'Huez on the 25th of July so provided it does not mash the preparation for this I am all for it.
Can I watch?
should be free to enter but charge to spectate...
yes lets decide .the 20 or the 27th july.......
August is traditionally quieter on the event front.....plus gives people a few weeks to recover from Outlaw???
17th 18th August is my weekend off
I'll bring cake
well then its the weekend of 17th and 18th of August......
Think the BBQ sounds better than the bike racing

I think it may be determined when the 'venue' is available, and no doubt we'll never get a date to suit all (which FF may be grateful for ).
