It strikes me that there is no serious Q. Roo dealer in the UK, which means importing. That's fine, but unless I take the bike through a warehousing set up in Japan, I'll be paying duties.
I've got a Roo. I bought it from Evans Cycles. Its a TT. Last years model. It should have been £1,500, but cause its last years model i got it for £800. I love it. I've had it nearly a year and have had no problems with it.
Why do you need to spend so much on a training bike ? Get a decent one that takes guards and wider tyres. You're more likely to come off in the winter so I'd really not spend thousands on it.
If I was spending 4k on a bike I'd be riding a lot of bikes to see which I liked and fitted me best. As the QR is seemingly hard to get - I'd rule that out.
if you are spending 10k on a bike or 2, shouldnt you be doing your own homework? i wouldnt be asking on a forum and seeming to be so clueless regarding bikes if i was splashing out htat much
Canyon are doing some cracking value bikes - but mail order so prob not what you want. I do like the look of the BMCs and indeed the Look bikes with the stem aligned with the top tube. Smoooth.
Are we talking road bikes or TT bikes by the way ?
I like the look of the Boardman Air TT that the Brownlees ride.
I've no idea what it's like to ride, or whether it's any good, but it looks luverly. By the time you've bought it, fettled with the add-ons/personalised it etc, I reckon it'll end up costing somewhere near £10k, so might be right up your alley!

I don't know Dave. Holgs has got all the royalties from his books! But 10K?!! Seriously?
£10k intended.

why QR?? for £10k you can get - imho - much better bikes.

Anything over a few grand and you're not getting VFM. Buy a decent bike and then spend the rest of it on training camps, coaches or a spare bike.
Bikes in that price bracket are for Mamils who don't understand cycling.
You could get a top of the range Quintana Roo CD0.1 Dura Ace Di2 for less than £4k
I'll set up as a dealer if I can get muppets to pay £10K for a bike !!
(And I thought I was a twat with my Cervélo )
You are
The only reson i dont have a Cervélo .. is (for me) i found Blue more comfortable
That's the one. Seeking one for training and one for racing. The thing is, finding a decent UK dealer.
Such as?
I've just got rid of a couple of Colnago bikes and fancy a change.
But you know Red is faster, right?

Only male cyclist could get away with that without sounding (too) gay!
Cougs - he's after this bike if you read back
QR CD0.1 Dura Ace - which is a TT bike
looks a bit of a dog to my eyes
That sound like a scary threat!
210bpm - so you want TWO of these bikes. One to train on and one to race on ?
How much racing are you planning on doing ?
You could just splash the lot on this - http://www.evanscycles.com/products/bmc/timemachine-tm01-dura-ace-di2-double-2013-triathlon-bike-ec043719?utm_source=froogle&utm_medium=froogle&utm_campaign=froogle&utm_content=mkwid__pcrid_19994698856_kword__match__plid_
its your budget perfectly.
