Top Barn (near Worcester) awaits me on Saturday morning - shallow so should be warming nicely... but tends to be murky so can't see a blinking thing!!!
Lovely cafe for bacon butties afterwards though (and warm showers)
Jamie, most likely to be a saturday morning, as tuesdays and thursdays are a pain trying to fit it in around No2 son'd diving club sessions. will post in here
How can shepperton be that cold? Nowhere else round here is, I think they just don't want to get up early
Will be at The Quays at 7am tomorrow if anyone else fancies a dip, will try to find my Pirate hat....that might be the challenge. Failing that I'll be the one with runny nose and puffy eyes thanks to hayfever
If other lakes are warmer than Shepperton then perhaps I'll go to Thorpe next weekend. Bit late for tomorrow and riding Sunday. Then I can get 3 sessions in before Outlaw half. Is that enough?
Seren: You went in at Chepstow? The ice bergs still haven't melted there. It's all dark and deep. I'd be thinking about my 7.5mm semi dry plus 5mm oversuit for that location. You are hard, you.
PM me for further ideas...Schmunks is also getting thoughts about the lakes.
Yeah straight off garmin, and it was definitely long I consider myself a good sighter and I went in straight line and hugged all the boys... It's amazing how much quicker I am in a wetsuit literally took 12 seconds off my 100 metre times and that's over iron distance (nearly)
Jamie/Raf are you planning on going to the tri20 centre either this Tue or Thurs? I may bring my wettie down with me and check it out one of the nights if I can

Pennington Flash delayed again this week until 6th, is there anywhere else around that is open?
Are any of the South East area lakes open on the Bank Holiday Monday?
Thorpe Lake is apparently open this weekend, but I don't think that includes Monday:
http://www.nowca.org/swimminglakes.aspx?lake=9
Shepperton Lake swimming will open when the lake temperature reaches 12 ºC, website says it's 8.5 right now.
According to their respective websites Datchet and Heron are both open on Monday; Datchet in the morning, Heron in the evening (I think)
Must get around to soritng out the holes in my wettie

Thanks all. I think Shepperton is cold as it's deep, I shan't be dipping my toes in there.

I swear exams are always as soon as the weather brightens. I have an exam Tuesday morning so no fun open water trips for me.

I think I like it the original way
But not if he is a catholic priest, eh?
