Im trying to decide which out of the following marathons I should do next year. If anyone has done them please let me know your thoughts, pros v cons etc.
Amsterdam, its a fast flat course. Flights to Amsterdam from various parts of uk are not expensive. Links to city from airport are easy. No problems getting accepted, doesn't usually fill up until about September. Usually temperature in October is cool ideal for running. Berlin fills up in a matter of hours, you have to be quick.
Loch Ness is my 'pencilled in' autumn marathon for next year, with Chester as my reserve choice - looked at Loch Ness for this year but all the cheap accommodation has already gone so staying at home and doing Bournemouth instead - I know it's expensive and the route is a bit iffy but I live in Poole so no extra travelling costs etc.
I did Berlin last year and LOVED it. Loads of support, great city. Filled up very quickly this year so you do have to be quick to get in. Will be doing Amsterdam this year, and am thinking about the French Riviera marathon for 2014.
Ace: If I remember correctly it filled up about a month before the race last year. I also think last year was the first time it was full, but I´m not sure.
I'm doing Frankfurt this year and there is a dedicated thread around somewhere under Events. It's supposed to be flat and fast. I did Berlin last year and I can thoroughly recommend Germany as a great place to visit and a great place in which to run a race.

Has anybody done Frankfurt before?
Just wonderred how quickly that fills up, as would like to see how some of my training goes before entering. Is August too late?
