Hi Stevie, I remember I chatted to you on the TVXC thread at the end of last year there will be a few of us RR's on Monday, are you going with your running club?
Yep Claire, team outing for Sandhurst. The Reading gang will at least be easy to find in your team kit!
Looking through a lot of the top 100s 5k versus finish time splits, a heck of a lot of them did negative splits. Is that down to professional timing strategy, or is the 2nd half just quicker?
Anyone care to compare it to Chichester and Eastleigh, which are fast courses but still both with inclines themselves...
Its hardly anything Stevie. I only noticed it cos I don't do ups in any shape. You'll hardly be aware. I think its as you go down to the Thames from St Pauls. but someone else might want to correct me. Its a slope, nothing more.
Eastleigh had a bit of an incline, but then had a long stretch that seemed to be downhill, and Chichester started with a half km incline and had another one later.
But not having hardly anything sounds better still
Doh, if it's flat, and the field is quality, i'll have to rely on the "twisty" course as an excuse if it doesn't go well
We do indeed but some people don't notice it! But in fairness its not a "full on" view, although may be better this year with approaching it the other way.
Looking forward to this, especially after watching the great Manchester run today, weather looks OK but could be a bit breazy, my third trip to this one, just round the corner from where I work, handy for parking and shower after
I'm running. My third year in a row, but my legs are in all sorts of pain at the moment so I don't think any PB is in danger. I do like this run though.
will be a good day i'm sure. a pb would be lovely, but even if not the course sounds a sightseeing master class.
Just laid all the gear out, and trying to cover the logistics of what stuff to take, as it's the first race i haven't been able to park within a mile of, or have special Bupa tent access (GSR last year) for yonks!

Booo...get well and come along, i'm in and it'll be interesting to put a face to a username
Hi Jamie - what took you so long?
Have a good race
Looking forward to Monday (usually I hate Monday's - but not in the Boomtown Rats way)
Really looking forward to this, will be the first time I have done a Bupa event and also my first time running in London
It's a great introduction to London Claire2.
I've done a few of these and this year I'm dragging my son along to run it too
Andyp, hope you and your son have a good race! The weather is looking great for Monday
fingers crossed - have a great run
Hi Stevie,
Still feel as if there's a family of hamsters nesting in my head, unfortunately
I expect I'll enter next year although I don't seem to have much luck with this race, it's not the first time I've been ill/injured.
Good luck!
see how you are over the next couple of days...you never know!
If you do come along drop me a mail, and we'll devise a plan to say hello...as we wouldn't meet by accident in a field that big
Ok Stevie, I'll let you know one way or the other

Ed - the race is flatter than a flat thing. Apart from an underpass slope thingie. You'll enjoy it.

Stevie - the slope was at the first half last year but looks like they are running it the other way this time.
So where will the incline be this year? And presumably not much of one then, as you said it was flat a post ago.

47m elevation in total.

Which pen are you on Schmunks? I am employing Spupy as a native guide to point out all the places of interest as we trot past

am about 20-30miles away and it's all too warm today, so let's hope that has eased itself down a fair few degrees by tomorrow.
No warmth and no breeze please!
Last year it was 27 degrees cent, so it has to be cooler than that! They had water sprays en route but I don't think they worked.

Few questions
1 - Is 08:30 a good time to get to Green Park? ( Too early,too late? )
2 - Should I get into my running gear in the morning or change up there?
3 - Is B red a fast group?
4 - Are there shower facilities there or nearby?
5 - Can I beat Mo Farah?
Good luck everyone!
