will you be doing the bike course........I'm heading there on the 8th for a run of the buike course and then agian on the 13th july for the bike on the long course weekend .i need to remmeber how horrible the hills were...
Just got back frgood good day in Tenby with the family. Weather awesome. Walked from Tenby to Saundersfoot and back, so got a good refresher of the end of the bike route and the run route. Quite a few out on the bike course.
Had a quick swim at North Beach, absolutely pan flat, crystal clear, and relatively warm. I've obviously lobits bit of weight since I last used my wetsuit, as it was loose around the thighs and chest, and glowed flowed through. Not good. Might need a new one.
Sorry to hear that, never good to hear. I missed my first training session in 16 weeks on Sunday having been struck down with a 24 hour bout of D&V. Back on it today still not 100% so took things steady.
I weighed myself Friday as I always do, I weighed myself today out of morbid curiosity, I dropped 3 kgs in a weekend, who needs the Atkins Diet when food poisoning can do that for you.

And today I was knocked over by a cyclist on the bloody pavement while running at lunchtime. Unbelievably she was 2 feet from a cycle lane in the ROAD where she should have been. Lazy myopic selfish cow.
D&V at the weekend, knees and elbows bashed up on Wednesday, these things come in 3s right?
She actually had the nerve to tell me it was 'too dangerous to cycle on the road in the cycle lane'. I was quite proud of myself that a: I didn't call her a very rude word and b: didn't put my fist through her lazy arsed face.
Covered in grazes and bruises tonight, these things always come out a few hours later, my hip hurts like hell.
did the coast lap and the narbeth lap yesterday morning in glorious sunshine........I had forgotton most of the course.......felt strong on the course and could have carried on.but decided to stop and put up the tent and drink all afternoon........
then this morning did the second narbeth route again.........there are a lot of nasty hills......either up or down for most of the course.......but I will enjoy it on race day this year.....
Man v Horse marathon as part of a Rleay for me on Saturday, never realised mid Wales had sun, but good prep, and off down to Wimbleball this weekend, as a dress rehearsal to ride and run on a hilly course. Then I can up my bike milegae etc for Challenge Vitoria in July, then hit the hills ready for Tenby in September.
Anyone fancy joining me on Saturday 3 August to ride the full bike course? No intention of smashing it round the course, a steady 8 hour ride 14/15 ish mph average for the 112 miles, get a feel for the course 4 weeks before the main event, anyone?
Only 10.... My word! Did my first Olympic in east anglia recently second ever ow sw... Was interesting but managed 2:53 and felt fine. Left my feet in tatters though and am only just up to running as normal. Got the marlow half iron distance coming soon and feeling ok for it. Still feel a bit I'll equipped... Will check to see if I can make full course ride... Need to calm myself down a bit I think lol
Chris I'm doing Marlow as well, I will have spent the previous week travelling in the US but thank god for the Y and their swimming pools & the hotels I've booked all have gyms, may have to do some work as well which is a bummer.
You can always bail out on the first loop in Tenby after 70 odd miles.

Torn meniscus and bone fragments in my right knee mean prep for the race has been sub par! Waiting for surgery....
However, this means that I have accommodation that's available at Kiln Park - a two bed deluxe caravan, booked from 6th September for 7 nights.
Am looking for what I paid (254), plus the transfer fee (26) - so £280......

not sure about the 3rd as have a wedding the day before and going on holidays the day after.......

i would aim more for 16 to gibe you leeway for mechanicals and weather and toilet problems and legs not working and a time to cry
