Hi, New Pirate here can I order Tri top and shorts please ( medium ) thank you
Sorry Charlotte, I missed your post earlier
First of all, welcome to the forums but more importantly, welcome to PSOF.
So that we can get to know a little more about you it would be great to know what tri's you have done in the past, what you're looking to do in the future and what attracted you to PSOF
As Mouse suggest, the pirates dont have running tops, we're a tri club not a running club.
Its been debated before whether we should have running tops and the clear consensus was no, there's enough kit available for people to run in (as many do).
I think having running kit and the can of worms that would open would blur the lines of what the pirates are about.

Foxy, thats not meant to sound as abrupt as it reads when I read it back but you get my drift (I hope), what about getting them a pirate tri top or you could have custom t-shirt designed on the 'spreadshirt' page (the link escapes me)
Hi everyone started triathlon two 1/2 years ago after learning to swim competed in a few sprints and Olympic then thought I would give Wimbelball 70.3 ago loved it so went for the full at Bolton last year.
This year I have entered Nice and Wales Ironman and a 70.3 , so busy year I find myself suited for the long distance as it takes me that long to warm up. My son laughed he said that in your 40's you normally start knitting so he thinks I have lost the plot.
Without intending ro open a can of worms and playing devil's advocate here, I have had two people approach me privately regarding running tops as they have seen the Cofides (?) ones.
Does having a running top in our wardrobe really detract from what the Pirates are?
If 16 people put their name down for a running top, can we declare that they cannot have them?
I have seen people wearing monacos at maras and half-maras. Does that mean that they cannot do it in a running top? What is the difference? Why is wearing a Monaco to run a mara different to wearing a running top?
Mouse they need to be real chips (by chips I mean crisps - living in the UK has not broken me of calling crisps chips - chips or chippies in NZ are crisps) not fake ones! No to the Pringles - Salt & Malt vinegar strong enough to make your eyes water Meldy nom

ok - I'll reject the Pringles in favour of Kettle Chips? Or tortilla (sp?) chips with salsa, but I have to make the salsa. I do quite like those posh jobbies which are chipped beetroot, sweet potatoes and parsnips and stuff.
Houmous requires carrot sticks, peppers and sugar snap peas.

Charlotte, welcome to the forum and the pirates.
Funny, I was about to post that a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away there was a decision made not to do run kit...

FWIW, I would wear a running top.
There is a cycling specific top, so it would be good to have a running specific top too.
Jus' my two penneth.
I knew this would happen.
Now, where are the pringles and the forum sofa....?
I think they need dusting off ...
What flavour?
Barbeque?
