I might have to go in for the 10k, GB, as prob not going to be on hols as expected due to ill elderly parents on both sides! Shame there's no space in the Marathon as a friend of mine is running it on her own and i could have tried to do it with her if i hadnt been planning to be on hols! #thatslife
10k will have to do and then i can cheer her on instead (when she comes in 7 hours later she says!)
MM, tell her not to worry, as NO-ONE will be running the GHM on their own ...
we don't bite (well not unless asked to as part of one of Lee's 'films' )
Dustin, I hope your track session had an ascent gain of a few 1,000 feet to get you truly in the mood !
We have met some lovely people who make medal holders,
http://www.themedalhangershop.co.uk/ they are a local Dorset company and they are coming along on the 29th so they can show off their great Bling hangers. Bring some cash and you can take them away on the day. They are also offering a deal to those who order items they haven't got with them on the day
I'm going to get a t-shirt that says 'if found on ground, please drag across finish line'! oh well run walk it should get me round i hope! I'm only doing it for the impressive bling
Can you get us all one of those T's please, I think we're going to need them.
Oh btw - has GB mentioned the 20 fit marines to you yet? My plan, sprint out the first 10k, then try for a lift for the last little bit, only 20 miles or so.
Last big run of 20 miles yesterday before Giants Head. Feeling mildly confident of not dying. Everybody keeps going on about the medals. What are they, dinner plate sized encrusted with diamante. Hope so then I can swagger round the bad streets of Yeovil looking pwoper gangsta
It's a nice chunky medal, and I'm going to work hard to take one home - although I wouldn't say the image is gangsta, so much as 'When Horny Naturists go Bad'.
Truth to tell, my groin injury isn't healing as well as I'd hoped and this may be a slightly more ouchy experience than I'd planned for. Two weeks left yet though, so time for a turn around in fortune yet.

They have naked men on them only reason I'm travelling so far down south for a 10k. Well that and I get to meet Goldbeetle's dog in the flesh instead of on facebook.

GB, is the start / finish wheel chair accessable?
Yes its all road and flat in around the start and finish
To be fair I was always more of an S Club kinda guy too !
Is that your way of saying it would be based on time taken
Yeah, so don't be too quick. I know that's often a problem though
thanks GB! I have replied and will get back to you further tomorrow
no i know no-one really runs it on their own, but you know what i mean!
Lee, no i dont think she would swap, she really wants one of the medals!
Sounds like you're safe then MM! Hehehe
But Lee, I always thought faster was better .... I mean no-one remembers those that 'come second' do they
Right that's it .. last (almost) long one done and dusted ... was not fun ... but now its ....
... time for some tapir madness
Oh, that probably means I have to run today. Better get it over and done with in case D has to go into hospital.
We would like to welcome Maxs Mum to the race fold you have two weeks to get race fit MM
thanks GB, I think!
I feel now. . .
It's all good Max's Mum

ooh! might give me something to follow for a few hundred yards until they disappear over the first hill!
Is there a prize for the slowest time too?
5 places left in the 10k we wont be taking entry on the day at this rate
That prize is mine Steve!
Two weeks. At this moment in time I'm still looking forward to it....
