morning all, can't believe how muggy it was out there last night, was wringing the vest out... Much the same this morning! Blisters - They definitely beat me over shorter distances, and the youngest will soon have faster 800 & 1500 times than me. I've not been able to LJ or TJ further than eldest in years, she is a gazelle, I have the bouncyness of a brick. What - easy run, if anything Why - taper, tiredness, excuses... last rest - Friday last hard - Tuesday maybe?
I was hoping Tom would pop in - pretty sure he knew yesterday's song
Enjoy the unpacking DD! I did the exact same thing on the exact same day 3 years ago. Seems like yesterday though ...
We had the mother of all thunderstorms last night causing havoc in the North of Germany. It was still going on at 5am so I canned my run. Too dangerous. Didn't want to end up being grilled by a bolt of lightning
Not sure I will manage a run tonight - last night it was 32.5 C when I got home. Too hot to sit in the garden... and definitely too hot to run.
What: lacrosse training (if there's not a thunderstorm...metal sticks in open field...) Why: getting back into it. Last hard: running last night in 35C, the walk in 37C earlier in the day wasn't a breeze either. Last rest: Sunday Lyrics: nope
Hello DD sorry to hear about the ankles. Was it from JOGLE? Waboyou deserve a rest!
Calf is still feeling iffy from a few weeks ago. Thinking about going to see someone about it. No idea how to go about it though...must investigate further...
Afternoon all, long time no see. Good to see most of the familiar faces on here and hello to those I haven't seen before.
I'm going to read back a bit when I get home tonight to see what you've all been up to recently. I've done nothing significant this year, been too busy and am trying to get back in the habit. Been out twice this week and once last week. Baby steps...
What: 2.75m easy run Why: Running with a complete beginner in work - good way to ease myself back in! Last hard: Looking at the scales Last easy: Today surprisingly Lyrics: No
DD, Alex: welcome back! Sorry to hear about the ankle, DD. Stick around!
Chick: the right call with the lightning. Two people I have known have been killed by lightning, hence it terrifies me. One, a very good runner and a uni old boy, was climbing in the Dolomites: there is still a fell race named after him. The other was an uncle, whilst playing golf. One flash of lightning and I head indoors.
What: about 30 mins later, I hope. Why: trying to put in a few extra minutes.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
Swim swum, HRs hot on the turbo and an afternoon at the pictures watching the newest Star Trek film and eating popcorn - what a great way to spend a rainy day.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
update: nothing aside from light running with the juniors (training/coaching) Paddy - many congratulations on the anniversary DD - good work with lejog, but sorry to hear about the ligament troubles alex - welcome back!
Rest day today as had massage, he was quite concerned over my knee, it appears there is still alot of swelling, despite no pain or discomfort and would appear that I have fluid on the knee as well, but no pain, so I shall still run....

Welcome back DD & Alex
Very warm and humid, could do with a bit of thunder to clear the air so long as it's over by 4:00 am.
Lots of people coming back today Hello Alex. How is life with the baby?
No lacrosse for me. Thunderstorm just finishing when I got home, and didn't want to risk it (glad after reading Ale's post!).
Good to see a few names returning!
5.5 miles including 20 x 1 min fast, 1 min slow. Fast sections were 10mph or so. Good session. 2 minute warm up and 6 seconds warm down.
Lyrics - not a whiff!
10 years married

Happy Anniversary Paddy.
Good to see you again Alex.

Happy Anniversary Paddy to you and your wife
Chick, no idea on yesterday's or today's, even with the answer.
Happy anniversary Paddy, I hope that you remembered the correct present. Black Gold wasn't it?
DD, sorry the hear about the ligaments, that's not very good. Did you enjoy your bike ride? How's your bum?
Hey, I got out for a run, legs still rather heavy, but ratrun rounded.
What: 30 mins slow...on the roads
Why: most of my running is off road. Will see how the legs are tomorrow: longest on the roads for 18 months!
