There are 20 fit young men running, surely you can get one of them to carry you around.
Oh gawd ... I forgot about them !! ... Goldie, are you providing 'hiding facilities' at the start line for those of us of a not so athletic nature ...
I'm thinking like a modern day version of the old Victorian Bathing Machine, that we can sit in and be wheeled to the start line out of view of the crowds, and then just released in to the hills !
I have a better idea. I'm bringing a pack of rabid, hungry wolves with me, and instead of a timing chip, i'm going to selloptape dog biscuits to every competitor. A quick shout of "Release the hounds!!!!" will see some of the fastest off-road marathon times ever.
Is Mrs Goldie not excited at the thought of all those boxes of shirts etc. leaving the house next week? I have had occasion to feel a little sorry for her over the past months.
You've done a great job fella, just got to buy Mrs Goldie some flowers now to put in one of those beer glass shaped vases. Don't forget to PM me if you want Mrs Dawn & Dawn Dog to help at a station.
Thanks DS, I'm just hoping to enjoy the day, I've done as much as I can, it's mainly down to the weather now!
GB - perhaps the "Now" magazine has good advice for you - organising this is probably as close as you'll ever come to giving birth yourself! From what I've seen you've really made an effort to think of things from the runner's point of view,it's all looking great x
weather will be ok by looks of the BBC website got to remember its very windy on the top ridgelines so drys out very quickly and the valleys dry out very slowly so if it rains it could be a bit messy in places
When we walked it the other day the ground was like concrete
I'm going with my old Trabuccos - otherwise I am such a ditherer if I take road shoes with me as well I'll be swapping them on and off when the gun goes. And I'm not sure my feet will cope with 26 miles in Kanadias unless it rains all week and most of the parcours is mud

Dawn yes please mate will see her the day before
One week. It's exciting but scary at the same time
Steve - this time next week we should be nearly done!
Vixx, only if I start straight from Panini's !!!
If my training holds up, I'm hopeful it could be on !
This time next week I better have finished - or we'll all have to go back to the beginning and start again.
I'm thinking of SEVERAL pints at the finish. Hope the weather's better than today. Driving rain in the grim North
Sunny, warm not hot, with a cool breeze, a little humid but reducing during the day.
That's the long term forecast as it stands today.
hmmm not looking too bad wh-m, but would appreciate it if you could try and wangle a nice refreshing shower or two in there aswell !
The forecast I'm looking at is showing a 30% chance of scattered showers for the Cerne Abbas area on Saturday.
