Not a great fan of asking for shoe advice on here........ But the only shoes I've ever got on with are the Nike structure and the asics kayano. Every other shoe road or trail has resulted in hip or kee injury.
I know the majority of trail shoes are neutral but can anyone suggest a shoe with plenty of stability I can look for?
please go easy on the sarcastic replies!!

Brooks GTS ASR
You could try putting a more supportive insole in a trail shoe. I use Orthaheels, which I get in Boots, in all my shoes including a cheapo pair of More Miles for muddy runs. It works for me, no injuries so far.
Thanks guys I'll check out both options!
Salomon do a support shoe too Andy - the Crossmax XR Guidance- comes in a waterproofed or normal version too!
Hope you find some to suit
New Balance 749's have a dual-density midsole - I swear by them
Salomon XT Wings has some motion control and is a very comfortable shoe.
The Salomon Crossmax Guidance, mentioned above by Sleepy Bear, has been discontinued with the new Crossmax2 ( ie the new version only comes in a neutral guise ), but you may well still be able to find some of those version 1 ones.
Asics do two versions of the GelFujiTrabuco - one with a medial post and one without (called 'neutral). Try the non-neutral (un-neutral?) one.
Also, New Balance Leadville 1012 has a small medial post. My favourites are the Brooks Adrenaline ASR.
