think so, and with the Lions looks likes the team award is sorted too (unless of course we hand the Aussies a 5-0 in the Ashes) so may be we should just get the show over and done with now and free up a bit of time in the Christmas schedules.
Even if Chris Froome wins the TDF, the public in general will be thinking that after Bradley Wiggins last year, cycling is no longer "new and interesting" whereas as British men's singles champion is, well, new and interesting - and long overdue.
Can't see how you can possibly say that ... he spent most of his time sitting down ... and not exactly much of a team player either leaving the rest of his team-mates behind
Froome has won nowt yet, though. I wouldn't argue if Murray wins it this year. But I still don't like him. A small part of me wanted Djorkovic to make a comeback and destroy the dour Scotchman forever. I think if that final game had gone to the Serb we would not be back on this thread.
I meant he hasn't won the Tour yet. Feels like it's in the bag but still plenty of stages to ride. I don't think he'll will SPOTY for winning anything else other than the TDF outright.
Take it easy. I know what I said. I like to use a phrase I heard Billy Bremner used in the 70s "You get nowt for being second" I'm sure he has won a badge for being a cub scout and the school relay too. Back ye pedant!
Well one or other of you seems to find something to comment on or object to in my recent postings...
i thought putting my post thro a level of checking / censorship might solve the problem
If you don't want people to comment don't post.
I still don't know what your problem is frankly but hey ho...
Anyway I don't dance around other posters' sensibilities, I'm not about to start making exceptions for you. If I want to comment on your posts I will, If not, not - I certainly don't seek them out if that's what you're thinking

I think all bets are off for this years SPOTY now

Chris Froome, for me, was heroic this weekend.
Andy is a shoe-in this year.

Who's got more personality Froome or Murray?
Tough question!
At least it will be another year that football isn't in the limelight
Thankfully!

I've never understood the obsession with SPOTY - Winning Wimbledon/TDF/Olympic Gold etc far surpasses the stupid publicity contest.

No... You said he hasn't won nowt yet.....

My humble apologies.....
In future I will run my posting past your good self and Scream just to check should I
Your'e a funny bugger but I like you
Lance Armstrong also used "First loser",
But I'm not sure how you can apply it to a rider with a palmerés like Froome has this year
Why would you need to run it past me?

Thing is, he's so feckin' boring - he's got no personality!
Bit harsh on Dave

OK Bye
C'mon Davey Wavey. You started it so don't be all curt now.

Been there, done that Dave.
Watch out you may become a troll... if NLR knows what one is.
Although perhaps Mo should win it this year now.
