Woke up this morning and decided i wanted to start up running to keep my mind and body healthy and fit - found this place so decided to sign up and say hello.
a routine is a good start.........remmeber don't be too enthusiastic and try running too fast or too afr too soon.......it usually ends up with injury....
so slow and steady to start with.....
good luck and enjoy it.though you have chosen a bit of a hot time to start
The schedule is suitable for you. Use it as a guide, so if you need longer walk breaks or an extra day off, etc, then do so. If in doubt, start slower. Walk run is a really great way to start.
If you're running for fitness, I wouldn't build up to more than about 5 or 6 miles on your longest run.
I looked into Colitis a bit and it seems that dietary changes would help. You could probably shift it completely if you really nailed your diet. I would look at Paleo or similar. Diet should be a major part of any athlete's lifestyle- although I'm a serioius hypocrite in that respect.
running in the rain is fine.obviously if you are out fro a few hours and its cold and wet you have to be careful.but otherwise rain is great....you skin is waterproof
well i went out today and did the 1 min run and 90 sec walk 8 times and i must say when i got back in the car it felt like someone turned a tap on - i was sweating
Anyway it felt good being able to do it and overall on my mapmyrun i did just over 2 miles as a walked a bit further.

I would only run alternative days to start with,,,,,,,,so 3 times a week.when the body is used to that then you can start to do some more.......
If you want to go out then just do a walk....
slow and staedy remember
will do - thank's for advice
