You super-star! Did you do it for charity Caz? If so, any chance of a link - that really was quite a feat, and you deserve to be well-supported for doing it.
she is supporting two charities.diabetes and macmillian......
whjat caz has done is an amazing feat........it is just unbelievable how hard it is to swim the channel in just a swimsuit........an ordinary woman with extraordinary determination and skill
Seren - too right. Her determination to do this has always left me gobsmacked. All those long hard sessions in the pool, and cold river swims in the snow. That takes real self discipline but look how its payed off. So well earned. I
Caz - I have learned so much from your hard work and single minded commitment . Will be you be my Enduroman mentor to kick me out of the door when its raining, or when I don't want to get out of bed please?
Back home now. Feeling chuffed to bits for finishing 3 HOURS quicker than I was expecting. I will post an event report tomorrow when I feel less tired and can think straight.
Soupy, I will happily come down to Enduroman next year to prepare feeds and shout encouragement but I haven't got a clue how to approach an Ironman
Having been on board last year during the relay attempt I know how hard Channel swimming can be, Caz you have achieved your dream and a super time too. Very well done. I especially appreciate it as my own swimming has taken a nose-dive this year. Super job!
What's next? Have you read Lynn Cox's "Swimming to Antarctica?" Lots of inspirational stuff there.
Caz, I just think you are amazing. Funkin and I were stalking you all day and were beyond delighted for you with your success and in such a great time too. Funkin crewed on AtoA for Jo and saw first hand how tough swimming the Channel is, it made him have even more respect for what you have achieved. Many congratulations.
At the swim4life event I saw chocolate buttons on the bottom of the pool, a man dancing on the roof of the building and firemen walking around the pool.
During my 10 hour swim I saw a chipmunk on the river bank
During my relay swim I thought I had a dolphin swimming alongside me

And just because she's coy about asking for sponsorship doesn't mean I can't give you the links. PM me and I'll tell you!
Fantastic effort. It was great to follow you on the tracker. Hope you recover well from it.

Seren, add in to that being scared of the water , and you can really begin to understand exactly how much of an achievement it really was.
I was knackered, and I only spent the day watching the online tracker !
SuperCaz = Legend ... *FACT*

Athlete of the year?
Read your blog. Great stuff. Looking forward to the next instalment.
Well done!
Just caught up with the blog, really enjoying it. Next instalment please!!!
Yup, c'mon Caz, your public is waiting .... (any chance of a sneak preview of Part II on iPlayer or something ? )
Part II was posted yesterday. Part III will go up this evening. You lot don't know how many hours I have put into writing this thing
You do write well though, Caz, it's a great read.
Well done again Caz! A smashing effort!
Well I'm enjoying the installment format though I suspect once they're all done I shall go back and re-read them all in one go
Today's instalment excellent. I particularly laughed at hallucinating but I didn't worry because I knew that I hallucinate a lot!
It's true!
At the swim4life event I saw chocolate buttons on the bottom of the pool, a man dancing on the roof of the building and firemen walking around the pool.
During my 10 hour swim I saw a chipmunk on the river bank

Hallucinations or not, I'm still not going to take up swimming.
