Not far from Guildford however is a really excellent shop called - they're open sensible hours 12-8pm Tuesday to Friday, and normal shopping times at the weekend. The guys there are extremely helpful and they have a wide range of shoes, and a fair amount of clothing too.
Alternatively there's the Sweatshop in Woking, which is only a short hop away by train from Guildford - might just be feasible during a lunchtime, though depends on how close to the station you are I guess.
