My ever lasting roll of tape for protecting my nipples when running recently ran out. The tape was great stuck in all conditions and all lengths of races.
I have tried several brands recently and they are hopeless. Starting to become a real issue for me in the recent wet weather.
Can anyone recommend a brand or alternative form of protection.

I just stick with a dab of vaseline. Thats worked for me in the most testing of conditions up to marathon distance in wet and humid weather. Alternatively Body Glide but seems expensive when vaseline does the job
I stick to a compression vest in the winter under my normal top with no chafing ever.
Elastoplast. The cloth tape, not plasters. And branded Elastoplast, not a supermarket copy. Has never failed me, including in a marathon in wet conditions.
Looks like you were right, Muttley. We women just don't understand real pain. However, just popping on here to say someone was recommending that liquid plaster gel on another thread recently. Might be worth a try.
Millsy - sounds like you've discovered the 'sports bra' method.
A compression top as said is the best way forward after I switched to one the sore nipples disappeared straight away
I've taken to wearing my HRM over my nips, works like a charm.
In winter though, wearing a compression vest seems to stop any nibble rub.
I may give plasters a go before Abingdon as I don't fancy a repeat.
The things us blokes have to do.
eh?
what's the difference?
I wouldn't wear just a compression top on its own in a race as my physique doesn't suit it and I would look like a twat.
Forget about tape/plasters. Sweat just makes them come off. Apply a liberal amount of Vaseline to the nips (and anywhere else that is liable to chafe). Works all the time.
Function over form get a slieveless compression top if you need it.
fabric elastoplast... all you need is 1sq cm on the nip itself and it doesn''t sweat off. My nipples don't sweat clearly!
You're obviously not working hard enough then!
LOL.... I've known that for years!
Duck tape
🙂
Kinesio tape never comes off.
Thanks for feedback everyone.
After some research on amazon, managed to find some very sticky tape.
I also run on trails/ultras so when carrying a small ruck sack. I need something that that really sticks well. Vaseline/bodyglide etc are not good for long distances or when it is wet.
When I get the tape, will report back on how well it works.
