morning! Nice run Blisters, good pace too for the distance. For me to get an average HR of 132 I think I'd be brisk walking. As I posted last week, will need to get myself a cheap HRM just to see what readings I get these days. What - club night Why - Its what Tuesdays are there for last rest - Friday last hard - Sunday
Applied on behalf of my club for VLM places, so a second bite beckons. We got 3 places last year, hopefully the same this.
Morning, sorry to hear AH, hope they catch the b'stards but I dont hold up much hope on past experience (3 burglaries in as many years)
What - 12 miles run in the dark
Why - Couldn't sleep, so gave up fighting the duvet in the early hours. Hopefully will avoid nodding off at my desk this afternoon! Really enjoyed it though, certainly puts a different perspective on running. last rest - Saturday last hard - Friday
Sorry to hear about the burglary, alehouse it leaves a bitter taste in your mouth if you can't feel safe in your own home anymore
Blisters: brilliant running
I managed 30 mins without stopping yesterday. Sciatica all the way down the left leg but I can live with that. It was nothing compared to the pain that hit me about 2 weeks ago when all this rubbish kicked off ...
what: another 30 mins tonight why: better than nothing last hard: driving is hard at the moment - wish I drove an automatic last rest: 27/9 lyrics: I think so but not 100% sure
alehouse so sorry to hear about your mum and the break in, that's horrible
OH you are way more on track for Snowdonia than I am! long runs have been 12, 13, 16 and 15! I am banking on my marathon head I think... Oh goodness....
possunt quia posse videntur - we can because we know we can
What: rest again I think Why: too much work to finish before bank holiday Last hard: resting Last rest: yesterday Lyrics: familiar, but no
Chick good to see you running. Do you have exercises to do for your back? Wabo surprised today wasn't the last hard, 4 times up a hill! when is Snowdonia? Dustin good luck in the ballot.
Yesterday's lyrics were "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves" Cher. No idea of today's.
What: will be 40 mins or so later Why: its what we do! Tired though...have spent from 7.30 labouring again: need to get certain things finished before the plasterers come on Friday, and I'm working the next two days.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
What: turned out to be 36 mins Why: I struggled. Legs ached from about 15 mins. May be the cross-training. Last hard: that was Last rest: yesterday...at least from running.
Going to work tomorrow and Thurs for a rest!
Birks: I seem to be rather short of Commonwealth tickets, hockey apart. 5 of us applied for all the athletics sessions...and got none between us. Can you sort it please?!

Lyrics, ah, yesterday's was relatively easy and I was humming it, even though I got the wrong artist. Today, normal service is resumed. Dustin, if you start your HR calcs with the most basic approach of 220-age, giving me a theoretical max of 168. For 85% or working heart rate for a marathon, that gives me 143. Maybe add a couple because the I've been able to top that theoretical MHR.
It seems like general training today is pretty much a drag it out day (except for RFJ). It certainly was for me. Just the 5 miles to loosen up a bit.
