Exactly Bus, bearing in mind you'd have to be an international to record that kind of time, and you're picking up £600?
Bearing in mind races with that level of prize won't be every week, and you couldn't race like that every week too.
Good luck Johnas, sooner you than me! You've certainly worked as hard as is realistically possible, so deserve a good old result.
More humdrum stuff for me, although am for the first time ever doing morning intervals.... 400s up shortly. At the moment it's working well doing the quality in the morning. Probably better than having to do it in the evening this time of year, and more convenient than trying to do it lunchtime.
Nice work SG. I look forward to the day I can crack out a 76s 400. What was the recovery?
Good luck Johnas. Smash it.
Another easy 8 for me at recovery pace in prep for Parkrun tomorrow. Do you guys pay much attention to your diet? I've been feeling sluggish lately (not necessarily when I'm running, but for the rest of the day).. I don't feel hungry but it's an effort to do everyday tasks!
SG, I'm with you on the shock to the system session. I did 5 x 90 @ 5:10pace, 5 x 1min @ 5:00pace then 5 x 30s at just under 5min/miles. BLOWING hard! Great session though, nice to bounce about on my toes.
Nice rest day today, long run and tomorrow left and I've already scaled 50 miles with what feels like ease!
All nice and easy for me, club only race on Sunday and the aim at the moment is to get the body used to doing a few more miles so a lot of steady and 5 weeks at over 45 miles per week is a nice step up, then aim for 50 in November and 55 December to be ready to start marathon training in Jan. I'll do a few cross countries on the way but hard to find hills: looked today and the nearest decent hill to the office is 4 miles away so 8 mile round trip before a session begins. Maybe get me a Boris bike.
Stevie G - I kept telling you that you were coming South on ok days not bad days, looks like you copped a bad day Tuesday. Its a good job you're not coming down for the Great South Sunday too, its going to be a tough last 2M this year.
Agreed, I saw the local pictures of the pitch. I only live about 5M miles away and it was hammering down, I did think it a shame that you'd travelled all that way only to get rained off. Hopefully the rematch will be drier, they get 15,000 down there so its a good atmosphere for away fans to come to.
i had my MRI today and the results were positive. he basicaly said if i had a history of heart disease in the family or had chest pains he would react totally differently but as i had none of these things and due my active "lifestyle" he thinks im ok.
10 km today including 5 at short tempo; 4:10/km.. A few days in France with work including a really long day yesterday. Dehydrated too but some great food. Personal pasty favourite is steak and Stilton.

Bus does this mean Cooray also eats Belgian Buns?

Tim, 3.5week holiday?! Sounds alright!!
Warren, we saw that cheeky 28:4x hilly 5miler described as average!!! What standards!
No Lit, he eats "Yum-Yums", by the box full, if that documentary is to be believed!
Indeed Warren, although 8k rather than 5M, still hardly an 'average' performance
nice to get the track bit done so early, this morning running seems to work really well as you've not had a half/full day of eating on board.
12x400s, aim was 5k pace, pretty much in the 79 to 81 mixer, with a cheeky 78, 76 to end.
4 at lunch to come
over and out for a bit.

recovery was same as the rep.
This is a phase of low intensity training, with higher mileage, so these 400s were a surprise to the system!
Certainly a world away from the 1500 pace 400s in the summer!
SR10 - my diet has been ruined by Bus, who made me buy a Belgian Bun from Greggs using the power of suggestion.
Crikey, better not tell you I'm off there now to get a pasty then
I've already got a pasty but it is nicer than a Greggs one. Clearly the lunch choice of running champions.
I had a pasty yesterday, from the West Cornwall Pasty Company. Chicken and chorizo. Nice.
Given I'm not running, I shall talk about what I am doing, eating.
Nice pasty selection but for the same price I think you could buy the whole contents of Greggs.
Bacon and sausage barm and a coffee for £2 at Greggs is perhaps the best bargain on the high street
Or a whole lunch of balanced carbs, protein and veg for £2 with their new cheese and ham baked bread roll thing and a tomato soup
Home early today to pack for the Lakes. looks like the weather is going to be fun!
With the weather up here this week I suspect it is Lakeland 100 this week
You take care on those fells Mr The Bus and wrap up well.
Will do Max - just packed my Buffalo, Paramo trousers and winter gloves so ready for some wild weather
isnt their a young marathon hopeful that works in Greggs And all he eats his chicken baguettes or something?

it looks like he's the same person. I'll disappear again. Haha

it was a bit worse than a "bad day" old son!

some good training going on by steves * 2

So stafford common xc tomorrow then.
Oh, that's excellent news, Dean. Really pleased for you.
Great stuff Dean. Now get back to it and stop slacking!
good work Dean, full steam ahead, you'll enjoy it even more now!
ps TR...sods law obviously dictates that the re-arranged game is the one midweek of the year I can't make...am in Manchester...ho hum!
Good news Dean. Good luck for the weekend Johnas.

FWIW Scottish the 90s was static rest.
Good news Dean - crack on!
Steak and stilton pasty Iron? What's that all about? Impossible to eat stilton without a glass of port!
Phew, that's a relief Dean! Have a great XC tomorrow!
